Reviews for The Stone Hotel

The Stone Hotel in Fitzroy is a great spot if you’re after a chilled pub vibe with good food and drinks. We stopped by recently and were really impressed with their tap beer selection, heaps of options, including some nice local craft brews. I had a beef burger that was super tasty and hit the spot, while my partner ordered the porterhouse steak, which was cooked just right and full of flavour. We also grabbed a couple of pints from the tap, and it was the perfect combo with the food. The pub has a cool, open feel to it, modern but not over the top. It’s a great place to relax and unwind. They were showing live sports too, which is always a bonus if you want to catch a game with mates. All up, it’s a solid spot in Fitzroy whether you’re after a decent feed, a few beers, or just somewhere to hang out and watch the footy. Definitely worth checking out.

Hands down one of the best Parmas in town! If you’re a Parma lover, this place is a non-negotiable. Perfectly crumbed chicken, golden and crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, topped with rich napoli sauce, smoky ham, and a generous blanket of melted cheese that stretches with every bite 🤤 Served with crispy chips and a fresh side salad, it’s comfort food done right. Portions are massive, flavours are spot on, and it hits every Parma craving perfectly. Pair it with a cold beer and you’re in absolute pub-food heaven. Easily a top-tier Parma—I’ll be back for this again and again. 🍺🍗🧀

Recently hosted a birthday event with The Stone Hotel’s function room, and I would totally recommend this space to everyone! Communication since the initial booking has been nothing but clear and efficient, patient with me from the start covering all queries. Management and bar staff were super friendly and patient come day of function, supporting a fantastic night with little stress. The function space including the outdoor area and bathrooms were in really good condition before the event. Catering and bar packages were of really good value, helping out with the cake as well. Would totally organise future events with The Stone Hotel.

I hoped to have a great time here but I just couldn't. I love to have a great time dancing but I as there was so much glass on the floor it was difficult. I don't like glass. It coarse and rough and gets in my shoes! I raised this with the owner/manager but they simply told me 'what should you expect it's a bar there's always glass on the floor'. Silly me guess ill bring my work boots next time :( After reading other reviews now it checks out that this bar is owned by a proper bad bloke and I wouldn't bother wasting your money here. Edit: thankyou for your reply but it is evident that you have lost the plot. At no point in my review have I referenced when this happened. So I am not sure how you can check POS reports to correlate to the event in question. This further shows laziness either through a copy and pasted reply or an aggressive attempt to get me to delete my review :/. Furthermore I never mentioned food so not sure what you're on about.

Dropped in for lunch after discovering a 40% discount on the EatClub app. The portions were huge and I think it was an amazing deal with the eat club discount. Without the discount though - maybe not so worth it. We ordered two steaks, one porterhouse and one scotch. They were both cooked perfectly. The chips were perfect, portion of salad was good too. The cut of the scotch had some gristle so it wasn’t amazing. Services was OK, the waiter(?) didn’t seem like he was having a great day. I think the signs on the window could with some refreshing as it looked a bit outdated.
