Thank you for the hospitality the staff were kind, welcoming and beautiful to interact with from the cleaners , receptionists , host/waitress and chef. Appreciate the 5 star service. The hotel itself was very clean, well maintained, modern and comfortable. Beds were comfortable, shower and toilets are clean and well stocked with shampoo/conditioner/body wash etc The option to have your beds made at your request was great. The staff topped up toilet paper and tissues and changed the towels which was something that wasn’t offered at other places we stayed in. Would love if they offered a communal area for a microwave or added that to the rooms. We weren’t aware stores closed early so we had to scramble to grab food from the 1 grocery store in town and settled on noodles as there is a kettle provided. So heads up to pack snacks or other food items if you want to save some money. We booked the breakfast included which was the best decision to add on. We ate breakfast every morning during our stay and although they offered the same food everyday it was perfect for us as any meal was satisfying. They offered eggs your way, bacon , baked beans , grilled tomato, hashbrows , sausages and mushrooms, variety or toasts , cereals , milk , juices , pastries and fruit. Kids loved waking up and going to breakfast. The pool was good, nice area to relax in and not as warm as you’d expect it to be as it’s advertised as heated but once you start swimming it just starts to feel warm. Gym and sauna look good we didn’t use those but great facilities. The communal Laundry is $4 a load for both washer and dryer didn’t mind it but would’ve liked if there was a seat to sit on outside the laundry room whilst waiting for laundry. Enjoyed seeing all the artwork on display in the hotel and restaurant very beautiful whoever captured those. Overall enjoyed our stay and would recommend but be prepared by packing food and water for the early closures in town. Thank you

I booked a room for my partner’s birthday, which was also planned as a retreat for four of us. I had reserved a table at the hotel restaurant in advance, called to confirm it, and reconfirmed again at check-in around 1:30 pm. Despite all of this, my reservation was cancelled at 4:00 pm, even though our booking time was 7:00 pm. When I asked reception what had happened, I was told they were short-staffed and that the chef “didn’t want us to be kept waiting.” We explained that we were happy to wait, as this dinner was an important part of my partner’s birthday celebration. However, the receptionist responded, “The chef just doesn’t want to, he is a bit uncomfortable tonight.” This was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. We were in the middle of Marysville, where only a few restaurants are open in the evening, and the hotel restaurant was clearly the best option for a birthday dinner—unlike the nearby clubs or bars. Eventually, we discovered that there was a large function for a sports car club that night. It felt as though we were refused service simply because we were not part of that group, or because the hotel expected to make more money from the function guests. I spoke with the General Manager, who told me to “just come and let them know, and they would take care of us,” yet he offered no written confirmation or compensation. After having a confirmed booking cancelled three times, how could we trust that promise? As an Accor member, I find this experience completely unacceptable. I expect a formal response and an appropriate resolution

We chose to stay at this hotel again because of a positive experience last year. While the facilities are not new, the surrounding environment is pleasant, and our previous stay left us with a good impression. Unfortunately, this recent visit before Christmas was disappointing and did not meet our expectations. We checked in on Thursday evening. On Friday, we were out for the entire day. When we returned that night, we noticed that our suitcase, which had been placed on the luggage rack, had been moved to the floor. We then discovered that the handle of the suitcase was broken. While we cannot be certain how this happened, the damage was found during our stay in the room. At the time we noticed the issue, the front desk was already closed. Throughout our stay, the front desk was often unattended, which made it difficult to report the issue promptly. Early Saturday morning we had pre-arranged plans and were unable to follow up immediately. When we returned to the hotel on Saturday evening (around 6–7 pm) and attempted to speak with staff, the front desk was again unattended. We finally raised the matter at check-out on Sunday. Unfortunately, we felt the response was unhelpful. We were advised to contact the hotel via email after departure rather than having the matter addressed or escalated on the spot. We also requested that the staff contact a manager, but this did not happen at the time. In addition, after returning home, we noticed that a small coin purse containing loose change (at least $15-20) was missing from a waist bag that had been kept inside the wardrobe in our room. While the amount itself is small, it added to our concern and discomfort about the overall experience. We understand that issues can occur during any stay. However, what was most disappointing was the lack of on-site support, clear communication, and timely assistance when problems arose. We believe these concerns could have been handled more professionally and with greater care for guests. We hope management will take this feedback seriously, review internal procedures (particularly front desk availability and incident handling), and contact us to discuss this matter further.

My Superior King Room was pretty big and the decor was attractive. Breakfast was included in my deal and was all you can eat cooked plus cereals, fruit, and toast. Really well done. All staff were very friendly. A beautiful stay in a beautiful region.

Nice rooms. great facility. Close to shops & parks . Air conditioning was faulty and we over heated with baby being very distraught. I only realised after we got so hot had to leave the room. Gauge was showing 18. But not actually on at all. Baby’s thermometer we had showed 26. Reception reset it and it was ok but i had to walk around the conference area for 15 minutes with my grandchild whom i was minding until our room cooled down enough to go back in.
