Reviews for Veriu Queen Victoria Market

Veriu Queen Victoria Market is in an excellent location, especially during the Winter Night Market season. Being just steps away from the market made exploring and shopping incredibly convenient. One of the best features was having a fully equipped kitchen in our room, which allowed us to cook our own meals and made our stay even more comfortable. The staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely service-oriented, always willing to help with a smile. Their hospitality made us feel very welcome. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Melbourne. Highly recommended!

Stayed here for the weekend and just checked out today. Was so happy with Veriu that I wanted to do a review straight away. We had room 110 which was a corner front facing room. Beautiful room with lots of natural light: the room was very clean and very well equipped with a big fridge and a kitchenette. The location is wonderful. Right across the road from the markets and a 1 minute walk to the trams. But the best thing about Veriu is the staff! All the staff we met were so friendly, smiling and so helpful. We arrived about 8am and just expected to leave our bags and wander around until check-in but our room was ready! Also when we were leaving the front desk staff assisted us with getting back out lost mobile phone which an uber driver dropped off to the desk while we’re out. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We have stayed here a few times now and will definitely be coming back . 😊

Stayed in Room 406 for my birthday trip (May 8–15). It was a mixed experience with several management issues. Pros: Good facilities and environment. The water station is a great plus. Problem Recovery: Staff responded positively to my report about damaged/dirty kitchenware by providing a brand-new saucepan and a better frying pan. Cons: Hygiene: Found dried food residue on the spatula upon arrival. Basic cleaning checks were clearly skipped. Housekeeping: While staff was proactive, they discarded my personal toothpaste without permission. Better training on respecting guest property is needed. Laundry: Guests often leave clothes in machines for hours (see photo). Better management of shared facilities is required. Reception: Front desk was unattended during checkout; waited over 5 minutes for luggage assistance. Summary: Good hardware, but housekeeping and staffing management need significant improvement.

The Veriu Queen Victoria Market is very well located in the CBD of Melbourne. It is central, so most activities can be reach by foot or public transportation. But also easily accessible so one can come and exit the city by car without having to be stuck in traffic. The Queen Victoria Market next door is perfect for having breakfast or lunch. You can find there almost everything you need. We enjoyed the parking from the hotel that you can book for a day. It is a bit expensive (around 20 AUD) but it is safe and connected to the hotel. The hotel also have a free laundry room with washing machines and dryers. They were clean and well maintained. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. With a small kitchen, a large bathroom and modern equipment. The beds were comfy and the room feels premiums.

Stayed 4 nights here and it’s so nice. Room is spacious for us, family with 2 kids. They clean room every day. Location is so perfect, right beside Queen Victoria Market, just few steps to tram station. All things are so good.
