We were impressed with the family room. It was quite spacious and the cupboard space was great! But the bathing tub disappointed us as the stopper didn't function to hold the water and drain and it was cracked. We complained but it didn't get changed. I think guests will appreciate with more variety in breakfast buffet ( something for kids) as it was just basic and may be the change in the menu would attract more people.

Attended Alfred Health first time in eight years used to come to the view hotel due to convenience but nothing outstanding.. but this trip the reception was very helpful and cordial, the rooms updated clean and fresh. Remember the bed being best nights sleep still is. prefer a room with a view not the south concrete wall. can't have everything. The self help breakfast just as good as international and lots of choices and brewed coffee machine. The discount form alfred patients and late checkout at 1100 welcome. The uber driver came right to the entrance and had us into cbd in just 8 minutes. Now that St Kilda road has redesigned all the morning peak traffic has gone as road noise very low in the double glazed window rooms. It's easier to cross the road. Very noticeable downturn in people and traffic. Lots of outdoor eating houses and the hotel venue and happy hour and meals top value. Don't forget virgie housekeeping and claim your free beverages next day.

From my initial enquiry, to the care pack for my dog the hotel was fantastic. Teh receptionist was courteous, willing to be flexible and ultimately most helpful. I was delighted at the care pack that was put in place for my dog Mildred. She was so excited. Unlike other "pet friendly" hotels, View Melbourn is really pet friendly. No room cleaning fees or silly advance bookings required. We were welcomed in their pet friendly room with no hassles at all. A dog bowl, a couple of toys and a nice bed was provided. As for me the room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. I was only there overnight and did not use the full facilities but they all seemed to be there. Restaurant, bar, parking etc. A short, direct tram ride to the CBD is out the front.

Great hotel in a great location. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need and are really quiet (especially being on such a busy road). I also love that you can open the window if you like fresh air. Easy access to and from the car park. Staff are friendly and helpful. Also, being a solo traveler - I felt very safe there.

Wonderful to have pets welcomed in their designated rooms. The staff were welcoming and helpful. My little dog was very happy and loved the toys and treats. Thank you very much for providing this Pet Friendly service. We will visit again and recommend the View Hotel.
