I recently had my 21st Birthday here at one of their private event rooms. The staff and services were great! However, the food packages were terrible. The venue was very strict in terms of decorations and the feedback from my guests left me a bit sad. I chose 8 different types of food options but the food portions were really small. Also, only 6 out of the 8 platters actually came out, and yet thats was still not enough. We kept asking for the remaining 2 platters but they charged us even more money even though we already paid for the 8 food platters. People kelt getting hungry, The venue also made us charge more money if we wanted to bring in entertainment such as our own DJs or other cultural performances… which I don’t understand. Decorations were also very strict in terms of no confetti, no smoke or fog machine, no indoor sparkles, no items hung up on walls, etc. The staff was friendly, and my 21st could’ve been better. Sorry to say it, but it is what it is.

We recently went to Waltzing Matilda for a family dinner and had a really lovely experience. The staff were all very friendly, especially Michael and a young staff member with short hair (sorry I didn’t catch your name). They were welcoming and attentive, which made the night even better. We tried the steak specials and the food was tasty for a pub meal. The atmosphere in the dining area was great and overall we had a wonderful time. My only feedback would be regarding the gaming area. At times it felt a bit uncomfortable, with some patrons clearly intoxicated and hitting or slamming the machines. I understand people are there to have fun, but that kind of behaviour can be intimidating, especially as I was there with my elderly parents who felt a bit uneasy. It would be great to see security be a bit more proactive in managing that space. Aside from that, we really enjoyed our night and appreciate the friendly service.

We had Christmas lunch here and I must say it was exceptional. It’s a buffet and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff were amazing and friendly. All in all I would definitely book here again for Christmas lunch. Everyone was in good seasonal cheer. Well done The Waltzing Matilda thank you for making our special day even more special.

Tim went above and beyond reasonable expectation to sort out our app issues. . He was a great assistant/ manager who went to no end of effort to sort out the app issue. Unfortunately it was not resolved but not due to his perseverance. Thank you Tim. We really appreciate the effort you went to.

I had an excellent experience at the Waltzing Matilda Pub thanks to Dylan. From the moment I walked in, he was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. He has that perfect mix of professionalism and easygoing charm that makes you feel right at home. Dylan clearly knows his stuff — whether it’s recommending the right drink, offering menu suggestions, or just keeping the atmosphere upbeat, he does it all effortlessly. Even when the place got busy, he stayed calm, friendly, and on top of everything.
