This place is outstanding. Already at arrival reception staff, Marie and Nicole, were professional, polite, likeable and gave us little perks, nothing so special but enough to make us feel welcome. Room was great, pool is incredibly clean and well maintained, soft water. There is a nice little buffet with a beautiful view in the morning; outstanding location. Parking is $30 but no fuss. Gym? Forget it - here the gym is outside all around you in a beautiful location with great weather. We stayed one night on our road trip to elsewhere and this hotel was outstanding. Family? Highly recommended.

Im a fussy traveller, I've stayed in a lot of hotels and resorts and I can say this one had a really nice feel. We stayed in a refurbished king room with ocean view. It was immaculate and the decor and furnishings we're stylish and modern. The bed was really comfortable. The balcony was a wee bit dated but it wasn't an issue. The view was amazing! We loved our stay and I would definitely stay again. Highly recommend

Mother’s Day High Tea in Ballroom - - table of 4 purchased - confusion on start time ……. Tickets said 1-4 pm - confirmation body of email payment said 12-3pm…. Ring Reception of hotel 9am to get response that it starts at Midday ….. arrive to “ no starts at 1pm” …… very disappointing Reception lady says “ oh yes you spoke to me I’ve had a lot of phone calls re this - I spoke to Chef - he said 12 noon “ Wait the 1 hour out in your bar downstairs with no air conditioning - apparently broken for last 3 months a wait staff informed us - very unpleasant - sun beaming in on glass windows - very hot !! Once allowed into ballroom at 1.10pm - huge line up down the sweeping staircase …… food sitting on table already - mini quiches cold …. Was it worth the $59 tix price - no I think not ! Sorry Rydges you guys need to do better - won’t get our patronage again !

We stayed in one of the higher‑priced suites and were very happy overall. The view was outstanding, overlooking both the river and the ocean, and it was genuinely special being able to watch dolphins from the room. The location was perfect for our stay. I chose the hotel specifically for its proximity to the Port Macquarie Half Marathon and wasn’t disappointed. It was incredibly convenient, and the suite also gave my wife a great vantage point to watch the race without having to leave the hotel. The room itself was comfortable and well appointed, and the stay met expectations for the price point. Any faults were minor. The pool area could get quite noisy with kids at times, and if you weren’t attending the running festival, the early morning loudspeaker announcements and music (from around 6:30am through to midday) could be disruptive. That said, it wasn’t an issue for us given the reason for our stay. Overall, a great experience in a prime location. I’d happily stay again, particularly if attending an event or wanting a room with a view.

The location is unbeatable, right by the water and close to all amenities and delicious restaurants. The Zebu food was fantastic! The room was immaculate, thoughtfully designed and spacious. We, a young family, stayed for two nights. My only complaint was that our room was right by the pool on ground so no privacy and also next to a large booking for a birthday party. Their doors slammed all night and the function room was incredibly loud. These things happen but it was crazy to book kids so close to this on the same floor so our son couldn’t sleep until it finished. I complained the second night and they were apologetic and even gave us additional credit towards our food bill at the restaurant, at check out. That all being said, we will be back. Thank you.
