Reviews for Mantra on Salt Beach

We have booked two rooms for three nights. One room we have had to change three times because of faulty rooms. Aircon doesn't work, no lights in the bathroom worked, someone speed in the room so it smelt like vomit. Changed rooms the next room the aircon leaked so bad it flowed like a tap and saturated the bed pillows and bed. Next room so far so good. The only thing wrong with the other room was the remote had no batteries. Does nobody have a check list to check all facilities and equipment work???? We paid nearly $1800 for three days. I expected better. Very disappointed.

My family and I recently stayed at Mantra Salt in a 2 bedroom apartment for a week in January. Not only did the king mattress have such severe bed sag that I had to alternate every couple of hours to the sofa bed, but after itching and scratching for three nights we realised the mattresses in both rooms were infested with bed bugs!!! It left my family virtually sleepless for 3 nights. This is appalling for a 4.5 star hotel that charged me approximately $600 per night!!! I was very polite about the complaint and discreet so other guests would not be alarmed. Reception staff were very accommodating and our room was changed. There appeared to be no bed bugs in the next room but the mattress sag on the king was just as horrendous so my husband and I had to sleep for the remainder of our holiday (4 nights) on the sofa bed which was equally as uncomfortable. We were told this was the only spare room available during that busy period so we couldn't ask for yet another room. I emailed the hotel on our return home asking them to do the right thing and refund our first three nights - and ...absolute crickets! Im an accor member but this has left a very sour taste in my mouth and I am very unlikely to use an Accor hotel again or recommend that particular hotel to anyone. Such a shame because the staff were accommodating, and the location is brilliant.

I’ll start of by talking about how much I love this place. The beautiful pools and the location is just immaculate. Rooms- The room I stayed in accommodated 4 people. The bathroom doors have no noise cancellation so people will most of the time hear your private business. The cabinets in the bathroom were falling apart from being wet. The sofa bed had pubic hairs on it but luckily the cleaners came up to fix it. The fridge was a little dirty as well. Service- Pretty average service. Very friendly cleaners. Location: Right next to a little strip mall, the location is just amazing. The beach is suffering from terrible erosion but that’s just one negative. Overall I would give this an easy 5 stars but it’s just not as good as it used to be.I’ll start of by talking about how much I love this place. Room was not up to par at all. I had hair all through out the bed sheets. The carpet didn't look like it had been vacuumed when I first entered the room (small bits of rubbish still under the desk). Carpet stains/mould. Pillow cases were clean however pillows had such a musty smell I had to put a towel over it to sleep. I was able to get someone to change the sheets for me however it didn't change the fact this was a low rated stay for me already and nothing could change that unfortunately. Was pretty disappointed, as I paid 300$ for this room for one night, one night only. Staff were great, however I would not book here again for the amount of money they are asking for. Outdated hotel, so they need to check their prices or else start better maintenance. On a positive note staff are lovely, breakfast was great, and location is superb.

We are diamond members and this is one of the worst Accor resort I’ve stayed in. Arrived late after a long drive from Sydney. Internet broken, room smelled, broken stuff (shutters, screen door kettle). No privacy in bathroom as has shutters that don’t close in main bedroom. Nish was great and offered a small credit. The next day the younger staff members did not care. They offered a new room but it was the same. At breakfast they ran out of food. Also found out when we can the rooms were not served unless you stayed 7 nights. They asked me to wash my own beach towels as they were running low. On NYE and Today you cannot use member discounts ( no signed anywhere) and they ran out of all food. They also advertised under services they have a spa but apparently the spa is not mower of Accor. In general super disappointing stay. Won’t ever come back. Reading the other reviews I’m not the only one! I usually escalate internally to the resort and I have multiple times and don’t think anyone particularly care so posting for others to have a better experience. This place has potential as beautiful location and the pool area although busy is nice.
