Rooms are good, staff are trying their best, the ground floor restaurant had decent food and was reasonably priced. BUT...... the fire alarm system is ridiculous. On multiple stays there fire alarm has been faulty. Going off for hours on end, normally starting around 11pm, it became so constantly it was a novelty if we got to sleep a full night. NEVER staying here again
To sum it up, never again. -Damp room, -No towels changed for 5 days -Bed smelt from the dampness -wifi incredibly slow (even with the supposed high speed) - restaurant is awful, slow and terrible food -Car park can be difficult to get in to. -Only 5 mins of hot water in the shower - mini fridge defrosted by itself turning my items in the fridge soggy. Will be advising my travel agent to avoid booking anyone else from my company into this hotel.
This is a pretty run down, crappy old Mantra. The whole place smells of mould and the furniture and flooring could do with a decent clean. The showers run out of hot water after 10 to 15 minutes. The pool also needed some attention. Apart from that the location is good and at night it was pretty quiet.
Beware this Hotel if you are Aboriginal, got taken up and down the lifts over and over and over. The hotel management was excellent until night shift came on, suddenly bank card doesn’t work and the female manager organised to have security eject me with out my luggage or my personal items. When I asked how I was meant to even call an Uber (had all my phone and charger items still in my suitcase in the lobby), security laughed at me as they voided my guest card and told me to walk. I advise anyone of Indigenous or Islander heritage to avoid and highly recommend the traditionally Owned hotel in Palmerston. Permanent residence will antagonise you to breaking point…other than all that I had no complaints True God you mob.
This place is very dated with not great service The gym equipment needs servicing . No towels or TV / radio gym. The restaurant had very slow service and breakfast disappointing I stayed 5 nights and there was zero servicing of my room, no bathroom clean , no replacement of towels . There is zero provision of toiletries aside from shampoo and soap , no shower cap etc Very bad smell is hallways . Overall extremely basic and not well kept up
