I am so happy with Doubletree by Hilton in Northbridge. I stayed for 4 nights. Rooms: good size, has everything i needed. Hair dryer, Iron, bathrobe, room slippers, cups and glasses and wine glasses. Dilma teabags. Good lighting. Can't open the window but it was next to a small garden so it was fine. No direct sun to my room and I kind of enjoyed it. Double curtains (I love this setting) Lighting: not sure whether night lights were working but it didn't borther me too much so, i forgot to mention it to hotel. I could hear some soynd from the next room but it was okay. I didn't havd to use aircon or heater. It was in perfect temperature. Bathroom: has a magnified lighted mirrors and a big led lighted mirror. It was handy for putting make up on. Shower was spacious and clean. Water preasure was not so great but workable. Wardrobe: lots of coat hangers, safe, auto lights and space to leave my luggage open. Gym and swimming pool: on level 3. Cool place to chill Bar: few beers on tap and other drinks available. Sometimes live band playing. Restaurant: i didn't get to go but it looked always busy. Service: staff are really really friendly and kind. Especially Thanks, Emma. Location: 5 min walk to cultural venues. 7min walk to Perth Station. Supermarket and shopping are also 5-10mins. So clise to everything. This hotel doesn't have coin laundry and there is one about 15min walk.

Rating: ⭐⭐ (2/5) The Good:The staff members were friendly and polite throughout our stay. The Not So Good: The hotel facilities are quite dated and in desperate need of renovation. The pillows and bedding had a musty, moldy smell, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably. On the second day of our stay, we slept in due to exhaustion. Before heading out, I specifically informed the front desk that our room still needed cleaning. However, when we returned that evening, the room hadn’t been serviced at all - not even the towels were replaced. This was very disappointing. The water pressure in the shower was also quite weak, which was frustrating. Check-out Experience:The check-out process was extremely slow and inefficient. The front desk was backed up with guests waiting to check in, and it took an unreasonably long time just to retrieve our luggage. Overall:For a supposed 4-star hotel, this property falls significantly short of expectations. While the staff are pleasant, the outdated facilities, poor housekeeping service, and operational inefficiencies make it hard to recommend. The hotel seriously needs to invest in upgrades and improve their service standards.

From the moment I arrived to leaving I had superb service from everyone. I specifically want to mention Hannah at Reception. She greeted me warmly and very efficiently booked me in - and gave me a warm cookie. There was also a very tasty free iced tea. My room was lovely and the bed/pillows a dream. I was about to have a nap when the noise from a family with a toddler and baby broke the calm. I texted Hannah and asked if I could be moved to a quieter room and this was sorted within 10 minutes by Hannah. She came up to my room to give me my new key then escorted me to the new room and floor to make sure it was quiet for me. That's service above and beyond. They have a happy hour in their lovely bar from 4 to 5pm. My favourite cocktail was the cocktail of the Happy Hour - very delicious prosecco, limoncello, yuzu, basil and fennel spritz for $17! They make the cocktail infusions the day before and the quality and effort shows. The bar people were a delight, very friendly and efficient. I went out to enjoy some Fringe Festival events and ordered room service on my return. It was delivered in under 30 minutes by another cheerful and efficient member of staff. Breakfast arrived in under 15 minutes by another cheerful person. Hannah was on reception at check out and sorted everything with her usual cheerful and professional approach. Hannah is a huge front of house asset to the hotel. All in all this was a 5 star experience - great staff, great bar and cocktails and a lovely room. I didn't check the pool or spa and will leave that for another visit. I'll be booking all my Northbridge staycations at this hotel. When you find such lovely and professional service in a hotel - you don't let it go. Many thanks to Hannah and all the staff who made my stay such a delight.

Checking in was really simple and easy which was nice considering I had to check in without my partner, who the booking was under so I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to check in but they just added me to the booking after seeing ID and a photo of my partners ID. Front desk staff are all really nice, I wish I remembered the name of the gentleman who helped me, but I do remember he was from the UK! He made a really welcoming and nice first impression of the hotel. The room was devine, perfect for a couple. Service at the bar on te ground level was great also. Really enjoyable night at this hotel! Location is great too, lots of great shops around and nice to explore Perth city on foot.

I had a good experience overall. In my experience housekeeping and the breakfast area ate understaffed and so the customer has to pay for it by waiting longer. All teams were nice and helpful, at the kitchen, the bar, housekeeping and mostly the front desk. Some members of the teams I feel like need a little bit more training but their skills are good in general. I want to make special mention of Lorena at the front desk for being to helpful, kind and knowledgeable and for having that willingness to go above and beyond and help customers have a better experience im Perth. I hope people like her get recognized and appreciated at their work place.
