I recently visited the Raffles Hotel on a Thursday night, and I must say, the location along the Canning River is stunning. With both indoor and outdoor dining options, I can only imagine how lovely it would be to enjoy a Sunday afternoon lunch here with friends in the sunshine. We started our meal with the fried chicken, seasoned with lemon pepper and served with basil aioli and house pickles. This dish was a standout! The pickles added a refreshing spicy crunch that perfectly balanced the richness of the chicken. For the main course, I opted for the medium-rare scotch fillet with pepper sauce, chips, and salad. While the meat was of exceptional quality, I found it slightly underdone for my taste. The chips were a bit floppy, and the salad was quite basic, especially considering it was steak night. At $35, it felt like decent value, but I wouldn't have been as satisfied if I had paid the full $60. Despite the minor shortcomings with the main dish, the generous portion sizes and overall value make Raffles Hotel a place worth returning to. For a cold Swan beer, it’s a great spot to unwind and enjoy the beautiful riverside setting.

We recently held our surprise wedding celebration at the Raffles Hotel, and we genuinely could not have asked for a better venue or team to bring our vision to life. From the very beginning, Belle and Niamh went above and beyond in every possible way. Their professionalism, attention to detail, flexibility, and genuine care made the entire planning process seamless. Pulling off a surprise wedding is no small feat, but they embraced the challenge and helped create a night that exceeded every expectation. A huge thank you also goes to the incredible staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and throughout the event to ensure everything ran effortlessly. Ana, Chris, Maisie, Leah, Lauren, Tilli, Seb, and Liv were all exceptional. Every interaction was warm, professional, and attentive, and they made both us and our guests feel truly special from start to finish. The food, service, atmosphere, and overall execution were outstanding. So many of our guests commented on how incredible the venue and staff were, and it was clear that everyone involved genuinely cared about making our day perfect. Thank you to the entire Raffles team for helping create one of the most memorable nights of our lives. We will forever be grateful for the effort, passion, and care that went into making our surprise wedding such an extraordinary celebration. If you’re looking for a venue with an exceptional events team and outstanding service, we couldn’t recommend Raffles Hotel Applecross highly enough. ❤️🥂💍

We chose to have our wedding reception in the riverside room. The evening was magical and everything we wished for. Belle assisted us with organising the event and was able to answer all our questions promptly. On the day the team set the event up exactly as instructed and throughout the night they made sure to keep us updated on the food and drinks. The venue space is gorgeous, and the neon signs make for great photos. I would highly recommend the venue to anyone needing a venue for an event.

This review is for their high tea only. Firstly, the service was excellent. The ladies were very friendly and attentive. You get unlimited bubbles & hot drinks. The food however was very average. Nothing special and a bit stodgy. The seats were quite uncomfortable and why have fake cheap flowers on the tiers?

We hosted our engagement party in the upstairs riverside room over the weekend, and the whole experience was flawless. Dealing with Belle and Niamh in particular, as well as all the other bar/wait stuff that assisted, was such a pleasant experience. All the food was perfect, the service was spot on and the communication with planning the entire event and all our special requests. Thanks so much for making it the perfect night !
