Excellent location, but that is all that’s on offer. The rooms are nice enough however it’s only a soft refurbishment or glow up as the hotel likes to call it. Tried calling room service, housekeeping and reception all at different times over a two hour period as they forget to replenish the room properly and to ask for room service however the phone just rang out on all occasions. Appalling service standards..

I'm a Scarborough local and thought I'd book a couple nights to experience Scarborough from a different perspective. Negatives: I paid extra for a ocean view which was good but I couldn't see the sunset from my balcony sadly. (Recommend sunset view) The booking said "double bed" and I paid for a couples room but it was two single beds put together which was quite uncomfortable since you sink inbetween. The ironing board was broken and didn't stand up as the leg welds were rusted and broken. The shower hose was damaged and leaked. The TV didn't let you use a HDMI which was annoying at night before bed. Room service food is highly priced. Only one escalator worked, from the Scarborough entrance and the main entrance was close due to renovations. The pool was out of action due to renovations. Positives: The room service food (Wagyu burger) was tasty. The provided body and hair soaps & moisturisers were nice. The view was good seeing half the beach towards Hilary's and Scarborough's new developments. All in all I would stay again but I would need to confirm an actual double bed, sunset view and top floor allocation.

Beautiful hotel, rooms had ample room. Was situated in room 1711. It was a family share with 2 double beds. Bedding was clean and room was tidy. Opted for the buffet breakfast which was lovely and lots of fresh made choices. Bar was inviting and lots of space. Renovations are still ongoing from a year ago and don't look to be finished anytime soon which is a shame as the pool is inaccessible, one elevator is out and the front entrance is not open/accessible either. Parking is $25 per night and is self parking but be warned they can't reserve spots for hotel guests (open to public car park) and can possibly be stuck without a spot to park. Service was professional but I requested a jug or water and extra towels, we didnt have enough towels so I found a lovely cleaner who provides me with more as the phone system wasn't working and redirecting calls to other areas. Eg- called house keeping to end up calling the spa. I called reception to ask for a jug of water and bucket of ice... never received the requested items, even though the front of house said to call with any requests upon arrival and I requested ut in my booking. Venue is close to multipul pubs, cafes and restaurants, with the beach across the road. A nice location.

Four of us had the Festive Set Menu Luncheon today. For $55 pp there was a choice of 3 main dishes and only one dessert on offer. A $20 pp drink package did not include any soft drinks. The two wait staff were lovely and tried their best however appeared to not know what to do or how to manage requests/questions. The food was OK, nothing special. The salt and pepper shake on the table were filthy.

Dishonest, unethical, and cowardly. Avoid. We booked months in advance via Booking.com, paid in full, received ongoing confirmation reminders, and arrived expecting a valid reservation. Instead — after driving hours from down south in extreme heat with my heavily pregnant wife — we were told at check-in that our booking had been “cancelled”. No warning. No explanation. Just cancelled. Booking.com immediately confirmed the reservation was still active and valid on their system. We have used Booking.com for years without a single issue. This “cancellation” happened to fall on one of the busiest weekends in Perth, with major concerts and sporting events in town and accommodation prices exploding city-wide. Draw your own conclusions. Front desk staff were indifferent and unhelpful. When we asked to speak to the manager — who was visibly present — he refused to come out. We were told there was “nothing he could do” because the hotel was now full. That was the end of the discussion. We were left sitting in the lobby for over two hours while dealing with Booking.com, not once approached by staff, not offered water, assistance, or even basic courtesy. The manager even walked past several times very aware of our presence and inconvenience. Eventually we were forced, under extreme demand, to pay $750 for alternative accommodation in the city — nearly three times the rate we had legitimately secured. This was not a system glitch. It was either gross incompetence or deliberate exploitation of high demand. Both are unacceptable. The complete absence of accountability, empathy, or professionalism was staggering, particularly given our circumstances. Do not insult readers with a generic “we’re sorry, please contact us so we can improve” response. The time to act was at check-in. The damage was already done. No post-event apology fixes this. We will never return and will actively discourage others from staying here. If it weren’t for the beachfront location, this would be one of the worst hotels in Australia. A disgraceful operation. Avoid entirely.
