Found this quite by accident and we are impressed! They’ve taken the classic Aussie motor inn and made it so much better! The BEST part is it’s pet friendly. Pip and Glady enjoyed their stay but complained about the frost of a morning 😂. The rooms are just superb! Modern and oversized and clean as. You’d never know pets had been here before! There’s a cozy fireplace and comfy chairs at reception. There’s a shared kitchen for you to cook. The takeaway rustled up a couple of burgers that were quintessential Aussie brilliance with beetroot. If you’re travelling with the fur babies it’s well worth a stop! Pip and Glady will be back soon!

Fabulous place to stay, close enough to Canberra without being in the city. Friendly small community vibes with a fabulous cafe and bakery a short walk from the accommodation. Great format of having a kitchen available to guests to prepare their own food, or with pre-preared meals, beverages and alcohol available to purchase. Would be great if this was available earlier and later (like 7am-7pm) as we missed the window in which we could purchase food and drinks. Rooms are comfortable with all amenities needed. Very comfortable bed and pillows and great bathroom.

We love staying here with our pooch. Staff & guests are very friendly. Rooms are spacious, clean, modern & comfortable. The lounge area has an open fireplace which is inviting if the fire is burning or if its not still a great area to relax, sip a local wine & have a cheese platter. Thoroughly enjoy our stays here. Highly recommend even if you don't have a pooch there are totally pet free rooms on the opposite end of the pet friendly area. Just be aware that restaurants & Takeaway food places are not open every day so the pub is great for Takeaway as well as dine in plus you can be prepared & take your meal ingredients with you & prepare & eat in the fantastic open kitchen dining room of the Abode hotel. How good is that.

Excellent accommodation for myself and my fur baby Maggie who loved the view. The terrace room had easy access to the outside area for Maggie to explore, was very spacious with a comfy bed. Staff extremely professional and friendly. Fabulous set up with the kitchen and pantry available for guests use. Coffee shop located directly across the road (very handy). Highly recommend for a stay!

We stayed for 2 nights and used the bikes provided free as well as the ktchen facilities - which were great. It was cold outside and warm inside especially next to the open fire near reception. A great stay and it was exactly what we required.
