We came for the $49 Thursday night tasting banquet. Wow! Soooo much food for the two of us but they kindly packed up the leftovers without us even having to ask. We've been to China Doll in Woolloomooloo many times so we knew the food would be very tasty. Loved the penang beef curry and fried chicken. Service was great too. Enjoy!

We tired this place before our show and had to order via the pre-theare menu. Location is great. Deco and ambiance is gorgeous but unfortunately we were not very happy with the food. Our sweet and sour pork was very dry as was our orange chicken. Waiters were helpful in advising the chief of this and we got new dishes, which was very nice of them, but unfortunately for us the flavour was still not really there. Maybe it was just an off night for these dishes.

A restaurant tucked away from the busy part of the club. Which means the ambiance is beautiful on special occasion dinners. If your expecting traditional Asian food, then you may be disappointed because Chu adds its own flare to its dishes, so don't judge too quickly. Each dish was aesthetic and delicious. Can be on the expensive side but worth having a nice dinner there. There is a good selection of food and drinks and portions are good for sharing. Beautiful restaurant.

Beautiful and elegant setting with top-quality dishes. Loved the XO prawn noodles, crispy salt & pepper squid, and the mango pancakes were the perfect sweet finish!

Thu-04-Sep-2025, 7.30pm-9pm. Roast Duck was exquisite. Fabulous food and great dining experience. However servers left me standing 20 mins to pay for my bill. Made me wait even further to join 2 other servers to sing happy birthday rather than assist me. Made for an unpleasant evening on my 14 year wedding anniversary.
