Fabulous rooftop with a closeable waterproof awning so it was perfect. Nice views of the city skyline and a decent menu. Alcohol a little expensive but there were some cheaper options. Food was pretty good: my ribs were nice but an odd cut so they weren’t as easy to eat as I’d like and they didn’t totally fall off the bone. Flavour was good, chips were good.

Really enjoyed the Sunday roast here at the friendly East Village Hotel. Gosh I love there tiles - sounds strange but you don’t need to go to Spain or Portugal to enjoy excellent tiles and design. We enjoyed the Sunday roast. Today the roast was beef. Very good indeed. Not as voluminous as the other hotels we’ve been visiting recently but that’s ok. Loved it. The carrots and pumpkin were magnificent. Loved every bit. Brilliant gravy and lots of it. Wow I could eat there again tonight! I’m currently drinking Guinness - and around Darlinghurst they seem to have a $10 pint deal. Gotta be happy about that. I had two ! Visit this place and enjoy!

Very unexpected rooftop bar in this pub looking front on ground level. You can see Sydney Tower Eye and nice ambience on a summer's night. Lovely range of cocktails unfortunately the one I initially wanted wasn't available but the waiter was friendly and offered to make me a different one. I got the burrito bowl and my partner got the chicken parmigiana - very generous in portions and the chicken was tender and juicy. Definitely recommend. The salmon and potato balls were divine.

Great spot, tried the live drawing event with a friend and it was fab. I was a little taken back by the food though, I ordered the ceviche, taste was a 7/10 but served on a a very small plate (think saucer size). And yet for the same price, I could have gotten a typical snitz or pub steak. They could have served a bigger portion or lowered the price.

Came for happy hour on a Wednesday and realized the special is a kilo of wings for $15! What a steal - I know it’s meant to be shared among friends but my friends and I each ordered our own kilo. We had doubts on whether we’d really be given a full amount of wings and it was definitely that! The buffalo wings were big and hearty. Rooftop was nice and the heaters kept us warm on a cold evening.
