East Village Hotel is great 👍 Just love our historic pubs full of charm. Had a delicious meal, barramundi and steak. They offer all of your favourite traditional pub food at great prices with daily specials starting at $16 and $10 cocktails until late. There’s a rooftop bar and plenty of other seating options to choose from. They support local talent by hosting live shows and entertainment-love supporting this place 🍾🥂🍷

Really enjoyed the Sunday roast here at the friendly East Village Hotel. Gosh I love there tiles - sounds strange but you don’t need to go to Spain or Portugal to enjoy excellent tiles and design. We enjoyed the Sunday roast. Today the roast was beef. Very good indeed. Not as voluminous as the other hotels we’ve been visiting recently but that’s ok. Loved it. The carrots and pumpkin were magnificent. Loved every bit. Brilliant gravy and lots of it. Wow I could eat there again tonight! I’m currently drinking Guinness - and around Darlinghurst they seem to have a $10 pint deal. Gotta be happy about that. I had two ! Visit this place and enjoy!

Most corrupt 2-up I’ve ever seen Caller was betting as he was calling and would call whatever his mates would call. Absolute disgrace to the sanctity of 2up and mate ship. Called was also learning the rules from the patrons as the day went on. Will not be back!

I selected the East Village Hotel specifically becuase I searched for "cheap food near me" - this got a great review from everyone else on google and the photos looked nice. I would be very hard pressed to say "cheap" describes East Village Hotel. Unless the staff added it up wrong, or I ordered the most expensive drink, or the all-day-every-day special ended just before I arrived it was pretty expensive. $44 for a drink, a $20 steak special and some garlic bread. Don't get me wrong, it was pretty nice food, the environment was nice and clean, it was handy (although if I had been driving I would have had to eat in my car to avoid a ticket!) - but it wasn't cheap.

Very unexpected rooftop bar in this pub looking front on ground level. You can see Sydney Tower Eye and nice ambience on a summer's night. Lovely range of cocktails unfortunately the one I initially wanted wasn't available but the waiter was friendly and offered to make me a different one. I got the burrito bowl and my partner got the chicken parmigiana - very generous in portions and the chicken was tender and juicy. Definitely recommend. The salmon and potato balls were divine.
