Reviews for Holiday Inn Express Macquarie Park

Convenient and comfortable family base We traveled as a family of four and found this to be a great, no-fuss hotel. The location is very practical, being so close to Macquarie Centre and public transport. The rooms and bathrooms are modern and clean. While the room size is average—it would have been better if it were large enough for a proper study desk—it was sufficient for our needs. Having a gym and laundry on-site was a lifesaver for a family trip. While the hotel offers a continental breakfast, the attached Coffee Club is very convenient if you want a barista coffee or a substantial meal. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout. Highly recommended!

My husband and I stayed here before and it was very good. This time things has changed poorly. We stayed during the Christmas holidays, pillows smells like someone else's stink sweat. The pillow itself needs wash, we put to the side. The buffet is limited, there use to be more, it's only watery scramble eggs, bacon, sausage that looks unusual and noodles. We did not have bfst just the tea. They have stopped giving out Christmas cookies during the stay and it has poorly gone down. Service was lovely from the Indonesian girl in the front desk, she was quite new thou, but her service was nice. We do like holiday inn, it's just sad it's gone this way. We were in unit 318.

Very clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Easy underground parking. Small gym but ok. Gym cardio equipment needed a deep clean. Big Sign in gym is needed to remind others to self clean - plus more disinfectant wipes. Buffet breakfast small but nice & well presented. Dinner menu limited to deep fried. A proper a la carte or buffet dinner would go a long way. Thank you for having me ☺️

Breakfast was included in my stay. Most of which was out in the cafe eating area at 6.05. I explained to the adjacent receptionist that i had to leave for an early meeting and attempted to make a slice of toast or get a bowl of cereal (which was ready). Receptionist refused. Apparently breakfast starts at 6.30. I felt this showed a lack of hospitality on the part of the hotel, and any reasonableness on the part of the steward. I felt this way mainly because it does show a lack of hospitality and reasonableness. The place must be running on a tight budget, with the 25 minutes of potential losses stemming from dry cereal and toast being a concern. Just ridiculous, ruined the stay.

Lately renovated, staff showed friendliness to guests. And in good profession. Holiday Inn impressed me a lot for their good management and nice presentation to guests. This hotel let my money go extra mile, namely very worthy. Next time top priority. Thanks guys.
