The outdoor patio was full, so we opted to sit upstairs in the bar, which has an eclectic vibe with lots of different images being projected on the walls. If you sit near the windows, you get a great view, but we were further back, so nothing to see there. Our server was super friendly, and every dish was excellent, with great presentation. Started off with the trio tartare, which was delicious and presented in clamshells. My boyfriend‘s oysters were huge and he enjoyed them. The Dan Dan noodles were spicy and a great choice. The mushroom dumplings dyed with beetroot were sticky and tasty when dipped in the spicy sauce. We ordered the mock chicken dish, but they were out of that, so ended up going with the cauliflower, which was the least strong of their offerings. Also got a hibiscus spritzer mocktail, which I really enjoyed. Only two minor critiques: first, we asked our waiter to not bring everything out rapidly, but they did nonetheless. And second, the seating is only marginally comfortable. We skipped dessert because nothing on the menu looked all that amazing. Partly that’s because I hate coconut and two of the four items had that. Unusual to have no chocolate options.

We had an amazing experience at Luna Lu, The Rocks. The ambience was beautiful, the harbour and Sydney Opera House view was absolutely stunning, and the welcome drink was a lovely touch. The staff were warm, attentive, and professional, making us feel truly welcomed. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. A special mention to the Sydney Opera House–themed cake—gorgeous, thoughtful, and perfectly matched to the iconic view, plus it tasted amazing. A perfect spot for a special celebration. Highly recommended!

I went to Luna Lu on Saturday evening, and the experience was exceptional. The restaurant offers some of the best views in Sydney, paired with spectacular food infused with Asian flavors. The staff were incredibly attentive and made the evening even more enjoyable. After living in Australia for many years, this is the only restaurant I’ve seen that serves a Sydney Opera House dessert that truly imitates the iconic building - especially impressive when you can see the real Opera House from the restaurant itself. I had the best time with my friend and will definitely be back.

We recently dined at Luna Lu . Second time within three months. and it was fantastic experience from start to finish. The restaurant offers a beautifully comfortable ambiance, striking the perfect balance between elegance and relaxation. The outdoor seating is especially delightful overlooking harbour bridge and opera house . Also attentive and patient service. Our waiter took time to explain dishes, answer questions, and ensure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Their professionalism and warm attitude specially from floor manager made the evening even more enjoyable. The food was exceptional, with consistently high quality across all dishes we ordered. Every plate was beautifully presented and full of flavour, showcasing both creativity and precision in execution. Overall, Luna Lu delivers an unforgettable dining experience — outstanding service, superb food, and a welcoming environment. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable meal.

The food was nothing ground breaking but the location and atmosphere of the seats outside is unbeatable. The lovely guy who served us was also so attentive, kind and a vibe. I loved the truffle duck spring roll and pork bao. The seafood and duck dumplings were also both tasty! I was pleasantly surprised about the size of the mains. Enjoyed the yuzu chicken. Seafood fried rice was good but wouldn't necessarily order again. Also a great selection of cocktails. I really liked the matcha one. I'd definitely come back for a special occasion. It's a beautiful view and the outside area is undercover so rain proof.
