*Edit, after just one week I have to change my rating. Opened the bed to find the sheets were extremely dirty with brown marks all over them. Pillows were almost black with how dirty they were. Like seriously what happened. This has put me off quite a bit.* Best hotel I have stayed in in Sydney. I have stayed in nearly every decent hotel and Sydney and can confidently say this is the best. The Location is great, only a 4 minute walk from Central. The Staff are the best hotel staff I have ever encountered, as soon as I walked in the door they were there to help, they were up for a chat in the lobby at anytime and super helpful throughout the entire stay. Room was very clean, useful and big enough for one person or a couple. Bed was super comfy, pillows were amazing. LED lights in the room is a small thing but god it is fun 😂. View (as a trainspotter) was awesome you can see the Central Clock Tower and the western end of Sydney Yard as well as the Bus Depot and Mortuary Station. This will now be the only hotel I stay in in Sydney. Price is great (especially with UNSW Staff Discount), Location is great, Staff are amazing, Room is perfect. 100/100.

We booked two rooms through Agoda—one Double Room with City View and one Queen Room with City View. The room size was decent, and both rooms were neat, clean, and well maintained. The beds were extremely comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool, and on-site parking is available underneath the hotel for AUD 50 per 24 hours. The hotel's location is excellent, with the train station only a 3–5 minute walk away, making it very convenient for getting around Sydney. The concierge staff were outstanding, especially Riley, who was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. However, there were a few disappointing aspects. Our Agoda booking clearly stated that complimentary bottled water was included, but when I called reception, I was informed that it would cost AUD 12 per bottle. There was also no welcome drink offered, and no bell staff available to assist with luggage. The breakfast had a good variety of options and was served until 10:00 a.m. However, if you arrive around 9:10 a.m., don't expect many items to be replenished. During our visit, the orange juice, milk for cereal, and several other breakfast items had almost run out and were not refilled. I also noticed that there was no banana bread available in the gluten-free section. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with clean rooms, a convenient location, and excellent concierge service. A few improvements in hospitality and breakfast replenishment would make the experience even better.

Wonderful and convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious rooms with tea coffee making facility. However the mood lighting in the rooms are bit uncomfortable to the eyes. The mini shop attached to the hotel charge exorbitant prices for items sold and doesn't provide a receipt most of the time. Overall great hotel like any other Mercure hotel at any part of the world.

If I had knew this hotel before I would have stayed longer. The lobby is great with couches, tables and an area for kids to do some coloring, very thoughtful. I left a bag the day before because we kept on changing hotels and they took great care of it. The staff is very helpful and friendly but still professional and ready to answer requests. The room is clean, beautiful and the beds are really nice and comfy! Well done to everyone we met during our short stay. I would definitely come back here if I come to Sydney. Thank you

Top service the moment I entered. Was greeted by a very helpful staff who took my bags and arranged for my room to be put on queue so that I could check in earlier. The room was spacious, plenty of space for couples. The best part is that they have coloured lights options. The bed is comfy and water pressure is superb. Super convenient location near Central station and Chinatown. Will definitely stay here again if I ever come to Sydney once more.
