Reviews for Parliament House Sydney

It's a historic government building where laws of the state of New South Wales are enacted by elected members. They control state finances and discuss matters of importance to the state. There's a Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council housed here. Members of the public can visit by joining a public tour which is offered on Mondays. There's a lovely restaurant on the premises. The facade consists of a 2 storey Georgian building, the oldest public building in NSW.

There is side tour for NSW Parliament every Mon - Fri. But on sitting day (meeting form of the members), there isn't one. But you can watch sideways on their sitting day but beware! There isn't glass seperating us with them. So we have to be silent. No photos or drinks in there.

The guides did amazing!! They will even know by heart the rep. for your electorate. Also, the art exhibitions made it worth to visit.

An excellent FREE tour. The guides are really immersive and take time to explain the history and how the parliament operates. Great on site cafe also.

A truly enriching experience at the NSW Parliament! 🏛️ The building itself is a beautiful blend of history and functionality — you can feel the legacy of Australian democracy in every corner. The guided tours are incredibly informative, giving you deep insight into how laws are made and the history of governance in New South Wales. Staff were welcoming, security was smooth, and everything was well-organized. I especially loved the opportunity to sit in the public gallery and observe Parliament in session — a rare and educational experience. Whether you're a student, history enthusiast, or just curious about how government works, the NSW Parliament is worth a visit. A perfect balance of history, architecture, and civic education!
