At check-in, I asked whether an upgrade to a club room was available and was told by the receptionist that the hotel was fully booked and no other rooms were available. While disappointing, I initially accepted this explanation. However, having just travelled for over three hours in extreme heat and being understandably a little dishevelled, I could not help but wonder whether assumptions were made about our suitability for a “club” room based on our appearance at the time. Out of curiosity, after arriving in our room, which had a beautiful view of a brick wall covered in graffiti, I checked the hotel’s website and found that multiple upgraded rooms were clearly available for booking. While I understand reception staff had been “under the pump” earlier due to a system outage, the system was up and running by the time we checked in. I returned to reception to query this and was then advised that the staff member would be “spoken to,” as rooms were in fact available. By that stage, we had already used the facilities in the room we had been allocated, so I advised that changing rooms was no longer necessary or viable. As compensation for the inconvenience, we were told that a bottle of wine would be delivered to our room. This never eventuated. Overall, the experience left a very poor impression. The information provided by staff was inconsistent and misleading, and there was no follow-through on what was promised. It felt as though the priority was to move us on rather than genuinely address the issue. Based on this experience, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again

We had an amazing stay at the Park Royal Darling Harbour, but the standout was definitely the buffet breakfast. The selection was huge and fresh. A special shout out to Johnny, the host, he was an absolute star. Nothing was ever too hard for him, he was warm, attentive and made the whole experience feel so welcoming. He honestly made our mornings. Also took a great Christmas photo of my husband and I and our 4 girls. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast ok, bit of a queue to make your toast and get a coffee from machines. Room aircon quite loud, but I suppose better than being too hot. Easy to walk into town or to the harbour.

Look, I wasn’t overly impressed by the room or breakfast but what won me over in the end were the AMAZING staff. Everyone I encountered from the Front desk to the Cleaners were super friendly and accommodating. Things to note, breakfast isn’t anything to write home about. You’re in a great location so explore the city and cafes. PARKING is amazing but if you don’t expect to leave the city centre don’t bother. VALET PARKING is $65 a night so if you’re there for a week, make sure you calculate that into the hire car budget . Loved walking across to Darling Harbour for dinner and stroll. Depending on you mobility, there is an INCLINE walking up to the city centre. It’s that awkward distance that is too close for a taxi or uber but if you have mobility issues is a steep enough incline that might be difficult for some. All in All, would stay again without the breakfast and carpark additions because the team were all AMAZING!

Very good hotel in the central business district at darling harbour sydney. Many important tourist attractions are located at walking distance from the hotel. Hotel has nice ambience, well furnished rooms and ample parking space. Staff is very helpful and courteous.
