Had an amazing tour here learning about the history of Rum in Balmain's working class roots and other parts of NSW. Interesting to learn about the fermentation and distillation processes used. Tried a great variety of Rums with different flavours and purchased a bottle. Would highly recommend.

We had an absolutely brilliant experience at Red Mill Rum Distillery. On a whim, David (the owner) took the time to walk us through the full history of the company, sharing stories about his descendants, the legacy behind the brand, and how he completely reinvented it in 2020. You can genuinely feel the passion and pride behind what they’re building. The rum itself is phenomenal, smooth, complex, and clearly crafted with serious attention to detail. This isn’t just a quick tasting stop, it’s a proper experience. If you appreciate great spirits and even better stories, make the visit. Keep an eye on this brand, they’re doing something special!

Fantastic experience. First and foremost, all of the different rums that we tried were excellent. The location of the distillery tour was really cool - David (the owner) did a great job of walking through the history of rum, rum-making in Australia, and Red Mill. A very comprehensive- yet interesting- discussion. The tour lasted for about an hour. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for something a little different to do in Sydney.

This is a great revival of an iconic Australian rum. Red Mill was part of the Australian drinking culture for decades and now has been revived by grandson David Fesq with an extraordinary range of rums for every taste. I have been to the distillery in Mullins Street, Rozelle...the space is amazing but the rums are the stars...from the single barrel iterations to the spiced and to the magical coconut rum you will not get a better rum anywhere...I see that the Australian as rated Red Mill the spirit of the year...wow. Get to the website, book a tour or call in ...you will be amazed.
