Salma feels instantly inviting and warm, spacious, with comfortable seating and staff who are genuinely friendly and polite. The food is excellent. The muhammara is rich and full of flavour, the tabouli is bright and fresh, and the lamb kofta is perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. finished with a beautifully done knafeh and tea, a really satisfying way to end the meal. The restaurant is licensed, with a great-looking bar and a good range of drinks to choose from. The prices are very reasonable. I’m already recommending Salma to friends and I will be back soon. A must try in Newtown.

What an amazing dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. You can really tell that a lot of care and passion goes into the kitchen here. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. A special thank you to the owner, Wael, who is truly amazing. His hospitality and dedication make this place even more special, and you can feel how much he cares about his guests and the quality of the restaurant. From the fantastic food to the excellent service, everything was outstanding. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be coming back! ⭐️

Disappointing experience. Friend booked for indoor seating and we were seated outside next to heavy smokers. We didn’t even get the bread basket until we asked and we were met with attitude. Appalling service from staff. Also buffet ran out of mains an hour in. Not worth the $65. You’re better off going somewhere else unless you want a depressing meal filled with second hand smoke.
