Foyer & Bar at City Recital Hall

The newly refurbished Function Room on level one can be configured for cocktail events, talks or conferences. The Function Room can also be converted into a VIP room to provide corporate hospitality at any public event. A bar can be set up within the room, or alternatively the level one main bar is just a few steps away. The Function Room adjoins the Green Room, so can also be used as a green room extension and/or a crew room for elaborate Auditorium events.

At 1238 seats across three levels, the City Recital Hall Auditorium suits a wide variety of music, talk, film, conference and party events. For smaller events, the stalls can be used in isolation (609 pax seated) and the stalls seating can be removed for parties. The Auditorium also has a recording room with a sightline of the stage for Hirer’s wishing to record the performance. The Auditorium can be used to screen movies, including those accompanied by live music and lighting effects. Auditorium hirers can activate all foyer and bar spaces depending on the function size. The Function Room can be added to the hire for use as a VIP entertainment space, or to extend the Green Room. City Recital Hall was purpose-built in 1999 as the city’s premiere venue for classical sound, both amplified and acoustic. In 2023 an industry-leading d&b audiotechnik XSL Soundscape Audio System was installed, propelling Angel Place into the pop, rock, folk and electronic market and yes, the odd rave…..
