A good option for an after work meet up and drink. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Lots of share food to choose from. A nice range of drink on the menu and tap as well. Service is good. The interior is very stylish and airy, very comfortable to be in to catch up with colleagues and friends. But can get crowded very quickly and become hard to find seats especially on a Friday night.
We recently held our end-of-year celebration at the Verandah Bar, and I was thoroughly impressed by both the food and the service. It’s a fantastic venue for corporate events—the dishes were absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. A special shout-out to the ever-smiling Biraj (apologies if I’ve misspelled his name—he’s the friendly Nepalese gentleman) and the wonderful Ariella, who made the evening even more enjoyable.
We ordered a pizza which was good although the ham was difficult to bite off. The housemade aracini was very nice with a strong flavour of mushrooms. The restaurant was very busy during lunch time so it was very noisy to the extent that it was very difficult to chat.
We popped in on a Wednesday night and pleased we did. Not a lot was opened and it is like a little oasis in the city. Don’t be fooled by the front entrance. There were both inside and outside areas to drink and it had a lovely atmosphere about it.
When the staff go above and beyound to make everything special! A huge thank you to the team from Social After Dark at Varandah Bar for making every guest feel special. Nothing was too much for you guys. Not only was the food amazing, but every special request was handled with a smile. Highly recommended.
