The hotel is very close to the train station, with supermarkets nearby, which is convenient. The in-room kitchenette is a big plus — it includes an induction stove, dishwasher, range hood, and complete utensils, making it easy to cook instead of eating out. However, there were multiple maintenance issues during my one-week stay. The bathroom light flickered intermittently (3–4 times), and although staff came to check, the issue was never resolved. The bathroom sink also drained very slowly, suggesting a blockage. Housekeeping standards could be improved, especially in the bathroom. On one occasion, I had to specifically remind staff to clean the toilet, and the trash bin itself did not appear clean. The range hood had visible grease buildup and would benefit from more thorough cleaning. One evening, I was knocked on due to a fire alarm and asked whether I was cooking. At the time, I was simply sitting on the sofa having coffee. I trust the checks were conducted uniformly across rooms, as otherwise it would feel somewhat targeted. I stayed for a full week and arrived with high expectations, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. The location and kitchen facilities are strong points, but maintenance and cleaning standards need significant improvement.
I had such an amazing stay here! I forgot the name but a very nice male receptionist during check-in (27/01) accommodated my early check in request so thank you so much! My room was very clean, nice and spacious for one person. Bed was comfy and the fact that they had a sofa & a round table was good! I can definitely recommend this place for sure:)
The location was perfect for visiting Central, the museum, Town Hall, and Circular Quay. It was literally a 4-minute walk from the hotel to Metro T8. The room was clean, tidy, and quiet. I definitely want to stay again when I visit Australia. I initially stayed for 3 nights and planned to move to another hotel after my New Zealand trip, but I came back again due to the great experience. There are lots of tasty restaurants nearby for brunch, Korean BBQ, sushi, and a Woolworths supermarket. Thanks, Veriu Green Square. The hotel and staff made our trip so comfortable with good memories!
Location location location! Situated only two train stops from the airport and a couple hundred metres from Green Square train station this place ticks a lot of boxes. The qirky reception area is the first thing you will notice. And the staff seem to enjoy having such a unique reception area. It's definitely a talking point. The bar/waiting area is pretty convenient with drinks and nibbles. It's immaculately clean and very well presented. I was booked into a room that I'm assuming is a standard hotel room (no kitchenette) but there was a bar fridge with tea/coffee making facilities. Great for POD fans. The room included a safe and some very convenient pegs to hang bags, hats and jackets on. Almost functional art. The bed was really comfy! The bathroom is well appointed and the shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc smelled fantastic and left me feeling great after travelling. This place is walking distance to a lot of places, but its proximity to the airport and city just nailed it. I really enjoyed a fuss free stay here.
It has the slight feel of a budget hotel, but there is nothing to complain about really. Everything was clean and tidy. The elevator was not working one morning, but it was fixed within an hour. Note that they will make a % charge for credit card payments, which would be OK of they accepted cash, but they don't. They should really add this to the price when you book the room, if there is no other way to pay. It's well located near to Green Square station and just two tube stops from the airport, but it is on the edge of a former industrial area so it's not the prettiest part of town. They have a very small gym.
