Sweet Time
We had our wedding at Watersedge at Campbell’s Stores and it was a wonderful experience. The venue is beautiful with stunning harbour views, and the service throughout the day was excellent. The staff were attentive and made everything run smoothly. The food was also great and really enjoyed by all our guests. Thank you again for your wonderful service and support😍

Not too impressed with the sneakiness around the use of our wedding content. I had previously proposed giving them the option of offering us complimentary or discounted early access to their venue for our stylist to decorate, as it takes a considerable amount of time. In return, we would have granted them consent to use our wedding content and photos for promotional purposes or on Instagram. They rejected our proposal, stating their venue wouldn’t need to use our wedding content for any promotional and that we would have to pay for every additional hour of early bump-in time. FAIR ENOUGH. We’re not famous/influencers or what not. Just a regular couple. We were happy to pay, and we did pay for those additional bump in hours to ensure our stylist could finish the decorations on time. Therefore, when we signed the final agreement with them, we explicitly stated NO to the use of our wedding photos and content. They agreed and were fully aware of this. While other vendors may tag them, they do not have our permission to use those photos directly on their page or anywhere else. Additionally, what their team fails to understand is that the photos taken by our photographer were paid for by us and therefore belong to us. They cannot be used by anyone without our explicit consent. Unfortunately, despite DMing them and speaking to their team about the terms and conditions they had agreed to, they still went ahead and posted three Instagram stories in May and an Instagram post recently promoting their venue without even tagging the stylist who made their venue look as stunning as it did. They also never contacted or sought our permission to use those photos. When I confronted them about the post last time, they said they were only posting about what happened at their venue. Unfortunately, their venue itself does not have those flower decorations that I paid a lot for. Are they really posting to show off their brick wall venue or the decorations that my stylist spent hours on? Those posts represent my inspiration, my time, and my money. All of which I invested in my stylist to make their venue look as stunning as they themselves said it. The least they could do is give credit where credit is due. I’m truly disappointed by how they have handled this and I don’t know how many times I have to repeatedly asking them to honour the agreement. We hope this review serves as a permanent reminder that we do not give consent for them to use our images on social media & for advertising purposes.

We had our wedding reception at Watersedge and can honestly say the venue was absolutely beautiful and turned out to be exactly what we were after. The location offered stunning views of the opera house and mostly importantly the level of service received from Eden, Mittee and the team working on the night was exceptional. Not to mention that the food was one of the best out there for wedding venues. The team’s professionalism and understanding has made all the difference. Being able to host our big day at this beautiful venue has made it incredibly special. Thank you!

Watersedge is a beautiful venue and Eden and Ame were lovely to work with on the lead up to our wedding. The food was fantastic and the provided dj amazing. Unfortunately I can’t give five stars due to a number of issues on the day, they only put fairy lights in one of two bays (despite previous discussion to have them in both), they ran out of sparkling wine and full strength beer (weird for an unlimited drinks package), there were not enough servers - some areas never had their drinks refilled. We were required to fill out an extensive form to ensure the night ran smoothly but staff asked the MC where to serve the cake (it seemed the on the day venue staff arent across what is agreed prior to the event, which seemed to defeat the purpose). At the end of the night our marriage certificate had been bent and put in the wishing well by staff at pack up. There was also a medical emergency of a guest and other guests were required to manage this, with no help from the venue. Note, It is also overly expensive to add 30 mins to your package for a ceremony. Nonetheless, we had a beautiful day and our guests had a fantastic time. We wanted a venue with a view and historic significance and it was exactly that.

Therese, Janaki and the entire team at Watersedge answered our many questions with patience and ease and were supportive of our needs every step of the way. Opera Room - Watersedge at Campbell's Stores
Located on Level 2 of Campbell’s Stores, Watersedge offers 3 exclusive function rooms, the Hickson Room, the Harbour Room and the Opera Room. Our light-filled event spaces are beautifully appointed with a unique mix of heritage features and modern infrastructure, as well as the best views of Sydney Harbour. Each room can cater for up to 120 guests on long tables or up to 100 guests on round tables. There are two adjoining bays in every function room: The Pre-Function Space can be used for arrival drinks and canapes before guests adjourn to the Event Space for a delectable meal prepared by our chefs. Guests can access your reception through one of the building’s entrances on Hickson Road.
