Very respectable food and beverage list. Cheers to our sommelier Gianantonio for the guidance. Photos from the Bluefin & Burgendy event with chef Oe san from Sushi Oe.
It was an impromptu date night with my husband and this place didn’t disappoint. From the warm, inviting ambiance to the exceptional service, everything hit the mark. The wine list was thoughtfully curated, and the staff’s recommendation was so good we ended up taking a bottle home. We sampled the focaccia, tuna crudo, and prawn ravioli—each dish was beautifully executed and full of flavor. A perfect spot for a cozy evening out.
The Wine Library is a consistent 5-star experience. I’ve visited several times now, and it never misses the mark. On our most recent visit, Debra looked after us. Her wine knowledge is exceptional; she navigated us through their extensive list and helped us find some absolute pearls. Beyond the wine, the food is fantastic—the new octopus carpaccio is a must-try—and the cocktails are top-tier. On a previous night, the bartender even whipped up some creative off-menu test cocktails that were brilliant. It’s a not-so-hidden gem in Paddington that is well worth a visit. Highly recommend! Try to guess the mystery wine!
Really enjoyed this little bar in Paddington. Friendly welcoming staff, nice dishes and good wine. Although not cheap, we did not feel overcharged. Good dishes were the Wagyu beef tartare, the crudo, fried zucchini sticks, meat balls in sauce, and the Barramundi. Wines were also of good quality.
What a joy to be able to sit at the bar and be served by Tim the owner. Very knowledgable about all the wines and producers which was great to hear. Also learnt that Tim represented Australia at the World Tastings Championships in France and Australia came 3rd in the world! Congratulations again Tim, can't wait to come back. If the Octopus carpaccio is on the menu, you must get, incredible. Cheers!
