Overall, the stay was nice. There were a few reasons why it is a 4/5 for us. We found the housekeeping to be inconsistent. Sometimes they would take dirty towels but didn't leave replacements. Sometimes the bed would be made up, other times not. We were glad that the hotel had guest laundry since Queenstown is an outdoor activity town. However, there were only 2 washers and 2 dryers for the entire hotel which meant there was always a long wait. For a high end hotel, there were amenities we found missing such as conditioner in the shower, robes, and a coffee / espresso maker. There was tons of storage in the room for suitcases, bags, and a giant wardrobe to hang up clothing. The beds were very comfortable and the room was nicely decorated. The front desk staff and managers were helpful and efficient. We did find the hotel bar to have unusual closing times, especially given the amount of activity, especially on a busy Queenstown weekend.

WOW! What do even I say. Chose to dine in the observatory with a friend one of the nights of my stay. Food was exceptionally tasty, service amazing, the manager Abhi what a guy. Truly makes the service top notch with his charming smile and personality. 10/10 would recommend. Must try spot in Queenstown.

Horrid food. 5/10 recommended. Average location, close to city centre. Laundry is a bit on the higher side ($12 for both washing and drying 45 minutes each). Absolutely horrible food (breakfast and dinner). Reception and room service/housekeeping is very warm and welcoming but the restaurant staff are very cold and are not naturally welcoming at all. Rooms are okayish-would’ve loved plastic water bottles or any kind of water bottles kept in the room, but spacious and with apt amenities. Health centre (gym/spa) are nice and enough to keep you entertained during your short visit to queenstown. I honestly feel a bit bitter regarding the food because everywhere else the food is absolutely brilliant, this hotel is falling short by a lot, please eat at cafés/restaurants during your stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Millennium Hotel however had a disappointing experience with lost property afterwards. We accidentally left some belongings in the hotel room closet and I called the hotel that evening after checking out. They declined to do anything, saying that housekeeping had left for the day and to call back in the morning. I called the next morning and they said they would need to check with housekeeping and call me back. I didn’t receive any call back so I called again in the afternoon. A new person said they would need to check with housekeeping and call me back. After no response, we finally went to the hotel (luckily we were still in Queenstown), and a new person said the same thing. After stating that we had called 3 times with the same response and no action, they checked the lost property and our items had been handed in by the new guests the day prior immediately after we left. Millennium Hotel had not tried to make contact with us proactively, and none of the reception staff had taken any of our calls seriously. I honestly don’t understand how people get their lost property back if they have already left the city or country. They need a better process for this. I found the service very poor considering we were guests for 3 nights.

My partner is a tour bus driver he is currently in the restaurant and they do not allow drivers time to eat when they get back after a long day from milford etc it shuts way to early especially when they host so many tours last time he was there he got a butter chicken it came out withun 5 minutes because it was microwaved the curry had a film on it the naan was rockhard the rice was not fresh and then the steak sandwich the next night was also terrible tour drivers dont get treated with the respect they deserve its not an easy job at all if it wasnt for them tours wouldnt happen but yet a place like this cant even show some basic respect, the rooms are fine its the bar an restaurant i suggest people to stay away from especially all you tour drivers you all deserve better food then what the millenium provides thats for sure oh an parking you probably will have to park up by the gondola and walk back after ur 12 hour day as they dont even accomodate drivers with parking just a big let down really
