The Galaxy Ballroom at Millennium Hotel Queenstown is an elegant, pillarless space designed for conferences, gala dinners and large-scale events, with a polished setting that suits everything from keynote presentations to celebration evenings.
With approximately 480 sqm of flexible floor space, the Galaxy Ballroom can host up to 600 guests theatre-style or 300 guests in a banquet setting, making it ideal for big plenaries, awards nights and formal dinners.
For added versatility, the ballroom can be divided into three fully soundproof rooms (each seating 150 theatre-style) and connects to the Gallery pre-function area—a great spot for catering breaks and cocktail networking with views to The Remarkables and surrounding peaks.

Where to start?, the service, the staff members, the environment, the location, everything is perfect here. On arrival got helped by Keshav the Duty Manager, really nice and friendly guy who went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable and welcome, he also helped us secure a room to stay an extra day because we wanted to stay one more day in Queenstown. his social skills and customer service are amazing. Dayana in the reception team was so nice and friendly, she offered help to sign my partner in the Millenium club and she was so patient and friendly. Cris, Mayu, and Rebecca from the Restaurant were so nice and friendly too!, always giving us a smile every morning for breakfast or at night for dinner, we felt welcomed everyday and they always had a friendly attitude towards us and our 5 year old daughter. The hotel may not be 5 stars, maybe is not "new" or has not been renovated recently, but the customer service, the experience, and the feeling of being welcomed every moment there is unique and worth every cent. Rooms are comfortable enough to have a good sleep, warm and with a nice smell. Location is close from city centre, around 10 minutes walking, which is a perfect way to enjoy the view and also to burn some calories after all the delicious food options that you encounter around the lake. Price for a room is pretty good and affordable, considering other places around charges 50% more to just be closer to the lake or the centre, I think this is the best option for people wanting to have a nice stay and save money. Food from the restaurant is amazing, breakfast has a lot of options and you get your money worth for what you get with a wide selection of sweets, savoury, proteins, cereals, etc.. My daugther loved the pancakes!. Dinner was also amazing, cheap prices for big plates, kids menu had a few options and my daughter loved them all including the big bowl of ice cream! Overall a 10/10 experience due to the amazing customer service from everyone there, would recommend to anyone going to QT to stay there.

Queenstown Millennium were extremely gracious and accommodating during our winter 2026 3-night stay. We celebrated our anniversary and were given complimentary chocolates, balloons and a bottle of quality Sav wine - all unprompted and on their own initiative. Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains and even Lake Whakatipu. An amazing 5-star experience, exceeding anything we've experienced at other hotels in recent memory (incl. from 5-star rated hotels). A truly memorable and warm experience. I had a wonderful stay at Millennium Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the location was very convenient. The team was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and exceptional. A special thank you to Ruby, Raj, Arun, and Sahil, who were all so helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Their warm hospitality and excellent service truly made a difference. A particularly lovely touch was the surprise birthday card they prepared for my daughter. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made her birthday even more memorable. We really appreciated the kindness and attention to detail.
