Reviews for Millennium Hotel Queenstown

We stayed as part of a group tour. The hotel was ready for us, and our room had a minor issue. We asked, and they service response was phenomenal. The entire staff seemed to work together for us! We enjoyed a breakfast in the Observatory each morning, and both the food and buffet layout were great - tasty items well prepared, and easy enough to make it around without crowding. The amenities were clean and solid. Beautiful room, and the hotel layout offered a cozy courtyard in which we enjoyed a lunch we brought one day. The hotel is also an easy walk to most everything, though it is an uphill walk to get back as it's located in a higher part of the town. We did find it a perfect place to start from for most of our activities - easy to walk, as long as you're expecting the hill. ;-)

We had a pleasant stay at Millennium Hotel Queenstown. The room size was very decent and comfortable, with a nice bed and supportive pillows that made for a good night’s rest. The toilet was clean and well-maintained, which is always appreciated. Location-wise, the hotel is conveniently situated within walking distance to the town centre, making it easy to explore the shops and restaurants. It’s also just a short walk to Lake Wakatipu, which is perfect for a relaxing stroll and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The gym is available but a bit small, and some of the equipment could be better maintained. It would also be great if the hotel could consider offering a 24-hour gym for added convenience. Overall, a comfortable and well-located hotel that makes for a solid stay in Queenstown.

Overall, the stay was nice. There were a few reasons why it is a 4/5 for us. We found the housekeeping to be inconsistent. Sometimes they would take dirty towels but didn't leave replacements. Sometimes the bed would be made up, other times not. We were glad that the hotel had guest laundry since Queenstown is an outdoor activity town. However, there were only 2 washers and 2 dryers for the entire hotel which meant there was always a long wait. For a high end hotel, there were amenities we found missing such as conditioner in the shower, robes, and a coffee / espresso maker. There was tons of storage in the room for suitcases, bags, and a giant wardrobe to hang up clothing. The beds were very comfortable and the room was nicely decorated. The front desk staff and managers were helpful and efficient. We did find the hotel bar to have unusual closing times, especially given the amount of activity, especially on a busy Queenstown weekend.

The Millennium Hotel Queenstown was a comfortable and convenient place to stay during our time in Queenstown. While some parts of the hotel felt more updated than others, everything was well maintained and our room had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One of the biggest highlights was how quiet the hotel was, which made for very restful nights. We also loved how close it was to downtown Queenstown—being able to walk everywhere was a huge plus.

Good leg workout if you end up walking from the centre up to the hotel. Had no issue with the room. Had a superior king room with such a comfy bed! Ordered room service and the butter chicken is to die for! The second night the chef has called in so was not able to order service again so uber eats came to my rescue lol that’s the only reason for my four stars. Thanks for having me.
