Been going to The Grounds for years and always love their themed events. They are creative, thoughtful, vibrant, and always feel like a lot of effort has gone into creating a memorable experience. This time we visited for the Pink event, which was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed by my wife and daughter. We also stopped by the café near the entrance for lunch and ordered the smashed avocado, pancakes, and coffee. The cappuccino was absolutely banging and one of the best coffees I’ve had in a while. The beans had a great flavour, the milk was smooth, and the temperature and sweetness were spot on. The pancakes were another highlight — soft, fluffy, and topped with delicious accompaniments that worked really well together. Unfortunately, the smashed avocado was a big miss and the only thing that stopped this from being a perfect meal. The bread was extremely hard and difficult to cut with a knife, and the smashed avocado itself was too hard and messy to eat. There were also too many toppings and condiments that made the dish feel overcomplicated. The flavours didn’t seem to complement each other, and the extra pieces made it difficult to enjoy. Overall, still a great experience thanks to the amazing event, excellent coffee, and fantastic pancakes. Hopefully the smashed avocado can be improved because the rest of the visit was excellent.

10 out of 10. I visited between 8-9am, and the staff member who welcomed me was warm and friendly. The food was excellent. I ordered the avocado toast, and I loved how fresh and creamy it was. And also the coffee was just as impressive. I had a latte made with Huntley Street, and it was smooth, nutty, and perfectly balanced. It can get a little busy and noisy because it’s such a popular spot, but that also gives the café a vibrant and lively atmosphere. I would definitely come back!

We had a wonderful breakfast at The Grounds of Alexandria. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, with stunning gardens, charming décor, and a unique ambience that makes the experience feel special from the moment you arrive. Our breakfast was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The hot chocolate was a standout—rich, creamy, and one of the best we’ve had. The staff were friendly and attentive, and despite how busy the venue was, the service was excellent. A perfect spot for breakfast, coffee, or simply enjoying the incredible surroundings. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Sydney. We can’t wait to come back!

Went in the afternoon and was lucky to find parking. Walked straight in and there was plenty of seating. We were served pretty quickly. Just got a desert and coffee. The iced coffee came deconstructed and was really smooth. The strawberry cake was absolutely delicious and a must try.

The Grounds of Alexandria has always been one of my favourite places to go to. Always has something fun to do and discover. Love the different sections that cater to different moods. Perfect for catch up with friends and families. Lots of fun things for young families with kids and babies, too. The food is delightful and always so pretty. Absolutely love this place! 🌟
