I don’t usually write reviews, but felt compelled to share my experience at the Rydges Bathurst Christmas Lunch Buffet, especially for those considering booking in the future. We booked a table for 10 (8 adults and 2 children) at a steep price of $180 per adult and $90 per child. The buffet was advertised from 12pm to 2:30pm, but unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected for the price. Several of us arrived 15 minutes after the advertised start time, and the remaining guests (who had driven from the Central Coast) were delayed by car trouble, arriving 45 minutes later. Upon our arrival, we were disappointed to find that many food options were already scarce. Some of us didn’t even get any prawns or ham, which was especially frustrating considering the premium cost. We voiced our concerns to a staff member, Deepak, as well as other patrons who were similarly dissatisfied with the limited availability of food. Throughout the lunch, we had to wait for food to be replenished on multiple occasions, and there were no labels on the dishes to indicate what they actually were. This made the experience more frustrating as we had to guess what was on offer. Additionally, we had to wait for plates to be restocked—something that should have been a smoother process for a high-priced event like this. The lack of planning was evident, and it was clear that if you wanted to get your money’s worth, you had to be at the front of the line early, which simply isn’t ideal for a relaxed buffet experience. Ultimately, this was a very disappointing and expensive experience, especially for a venue with a previously good reputation. The friendly staff tried to accommodate us as best they could, but the lack of organisation and limited food options let the experience down. I expected much more for the price, and I’m hoping the venue takes this feedback on board to improve future offerings.

Had a short stay here. Rooms are nice, but they are starting to show their age. The whole place could do with a little facelit. The beds are very comfortable. The food was good but a little bit pricey for what you get.. easy parking and wasn't hard to find.

We stayed here over Christmas as it was close to our in-laws.. but was very disappointed the room was dirty for example black mould in the bathroom shower... Beds were poorly made and had to remake it as the sheets weren't fitted.. fronts of cabinets in the kitchenette had been removed and not replaced but the worst thing was we were there four nights and they didn't turnover our room so bins were full I had to remake the beds everyday just overall not what you expect from Rydges and yes we did put the door tag out to let them know.. I also let the front desk know but nothing was done... Then they tried to over charge us $250 luckily I had the invoice. Positives the track is right there and my son loved it especially the car in the reception... Breakfast was ok but not worth the $25 We wouldn't stay here again

Having stayed here last time 2 years ago nothing has changed, the bed is comfortable, room is clean and the staff are friendly. My room had a great view of the racetrack and beyond. The rooms are quite affordable compared to other available hotels in the area. I will be back here in future visits.

Was staying in penthouse. Excellent views but rooms could be cleaned better. Housekeeping needs to improve in their quality of service. It was sub-standard and a let down for the brand name -Rydges.
