Reviews for Novotel Sydney Parramatta

I had a wonderful stay at Novotel Sydney Parramatta. From the excellent location to the quality of the food and the overall service, everything was commendable. I would especially like to acknowledge a few outstanding team members who made my stay even more enjoyable. Daryl at reception demonstrated exceptional customer service. He was considerate, accommodating, and genuinely helpful. I was particularly grateful that he was able to extend my checkout time when we needed it. Claudia in the restaurant was incredibly hospitable and consistently went above and beyond. She always greeted guests with a smile and worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was well looked after. Claudia, you are truly an asset to the hotel. I would also like to recognise Rabina from the restaurant. Despite studying to become an IT professional, she displayed a fantastic service attitude and strong work ethic. Whether replenishing the buffet, clearing tables, or warmly greeting guests, she carried out every task with enthusiasm and a smile. It is wonderful to see hospitality professionals who genuinely care about their guests and take pride in their work. Team members like Daryl, Claudia, and Rabina are what make a stay memorable. Thank you all for your kindness and dedication. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to others.

Room had what we needed for the night. Bathroom a little on the small and compact size . Yes an older establishment but clean, and beds comfortable . Quiet even being a football weekend. Parking spaces are narrow ($40/overnight). I would definitely return. Reception staff were friendly and helpfull.

The room air-conditioning was not satisfactorily cool. Nights were warm and uncomfortable. Front office did reduce the temperature setting upon my request but it did not make much of a difference. I had to purchase a small fan. The room was right in front of the elevators and was noisy. There was a huge group of very noisy kids. No drinking water was kept in the room. They curtain rod was broken and I had to inform front office to get it fixed (housekeeping should have been proactive to check such things. The ventilator went in bathroom was extremely dusty. Elevator was not working. Breakfast food quality should be enhanced.

Our stay was extremely disappointing, especially given the price point. We paid over $350 per night, which is completely unjustified for the condition and comfort of this hotel. The air conditioning did not work for two out of the three nights we stayed, making it very uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. The room itself was poorly maintained — the ceilings were cracked, and the walls near the window were oddly shaped and protruded in a way that wasn’t marked or highlighted, causing us to hit our heads multiple times. This felt unsafe and careless. Cleanliness was also a major issue. The carpets in our room were filthy, and even the carpet in the elevator was visibly dirty, which did not leave a good first impression. The towels were old and worn, and the bed blankets smelled stale and musty, raising concerns about overall hygiene and upkeep. The paid car park was so tight that we couldn’t get in and out of our cars properly. For the price we paid, we expected a much higher standard of comfort, cleanliness, and maintenance. Unfortunately, this stay fell far short of expectations, and we would not recommend this hotel to others.

The Novotel in Parramatta has a great location by the river, I am sure some rooms would have a view of it but not all do. The hotel is on a pedestrian boulevard with many restaurants. There’s a supermarket nearby for anything you need. Parking costs $40 per night, but there are no cheaper options close by in any case. It's quite a buzzy hotel with lots of workers staying there, often in the mornings and after work there are quite a few people milling in the lobby and bar. The rooms are in good condition and have been updated. However, some of the facilities are a bit outdated; the hallways need repainting, and the carpets need replacing there too. The staff are very helpful, although there were some minor room issues that staff attempted to correct swiftly. Overall, you're mainly paying for the great location. Despite some minor issues, the rooms are clean and comfortable.
