On holidays and grandson wanted chicken schnitzel. The food was superb, the chicken schnitzel juicy and crispy. The beer battered fish was also very juicy and crispy. The price was also on point. Definitely great value. Highly recommend. Oh the the sticky date pudding was so fresh.

It is a brilliant pub with a lively atmosphere. The choices of drinks are excellent. I went with friends for lunch. Somehow, no one liked the food. The food tastes average for the price. Responsive service. Airy and Clean interior with plenty of seating options. It's not an excellent choice for food. Compared to the other pubs in this area.

Grabbed a feed here before attending a show in the nearby Lyric Theatre. The staff and service were the best thing about this Inn. Very friendly and helpful. Food was your typical pub dishes which is always easy. Food was tasty and fresh. Only thing was that our starters and mains came out all at the same time. Perhaps that could be my responsibility to ask for them seperate but there was an element of expectation when ordering items from the starters part of the menu compared to the main. The atmosphere for where we sat during our visit had nothing that any other pub doesn't. Clean and tidy but no real grabbing decor element.

Classic sports pub for those esp. after cheap drinks before heading to The Star. Bella, Jack and the team gladly booked us most of the main bar area with fast correspondence. Otherwise, walk-ins are very easy as the area fits more than meet the eye - pints and schooners are cheaper than most places despite the location!

Food rubbish. *Update with more detail, as requested * The schnitzel looked like it had been deep-fried to reheat it after having been previously cooked. Hard as rock. Impossible to cut or eat. Practically black. Circumstances of my lunch guest meant that I didn’t have the time or bandwidth to send it back and/or argue with wait staff or the kitchen. Rubbish food.
