It's a 2-night stay before my cruise in February 2024. It's a nice hotel with nice room size and convenient location. Check-in was smooth though a bit slow. I was there at around 1.30pm and was told room not ready. Left my luggage with the luggage service and went out. At 2pm I received a message to say room was ready. Good thing is you don't have to join the long queue at counter to get the keys. Got the keys from the concierge and luggage was already sent to my room. Room cleanliness just reasonable. You can feel the dust. I like the bathroom with shower and toilet separate. Would be useful for non-solo travelling. The TV position is a bit weird though. Ordered room service and their oysters are delicious! Wish to thank Mason for assisting with my late check out request. Lady at the check out is a bit grumpy.

Although only for one night, the stay at the Sofitel in Darling Harbour was beyond our expectations. Such a great location for the city and even into Surry Hills. The rooms were lovely as were the amenities. I booked it because of the reviews on their buffet breakfast and honestly thank goodness I booked the package with breakfast. It was honestly the best buffet breakfast I've been to, it was huge and the selections were endless. Will definitely be staying here again and hopefully more than one night!

We try to visit Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour at least once a year ever since it opened. Often, it is our wedding anniversary vacation. It is the favorite hotel of my wife and myself. It has the best Executive lounge that we know of and the best views. The location is good. With the shopping center demolished, there are less options in the surrounding area. However, the light rail is just opposite. And the city center is somewhat within walking distance. Food and drinks offering in the Executive lounge are really good. Though both my wife and I noted a small step down from before. The opening times have also shortened over the years. In the earlier years, we had really enjoyed the luxury of access to coffee and soft drinks when we return late to the hotel. The rooms are great. The amenities are great. The staff are exceptional. We had dinner at the restaurant. The steak was good. The short ribs were good but the taste might be too concentrated for some. The broccolini was good too. The pool is good but we seem to visit and wrong times of the year and the pool is often too cold to enjoy. Due to circumstances, it is unlikely we will be returning to the hotel. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Whilst our stay at the hotel was lovely, the hotel has since charged my card an additional $575 and cannot explain why. After calling to find out what happened, I was told I would receive a call back the same day, but haven't heard back from the hotel. I am currently planning a wedding and a baby so having an unplanned nearly $600 gone from my account is a kick in the guts.

Amazing welcoming staff and entry to the hotel. Was not very impressed with room quality/amenities and lack of very basic items that are included in top-tier hotel categories such as no fresh water bottles, very small mini-bar choices and no automatic shades. For a newer hotel of this caliber, these should be the most obvious things to have in your room. In terms of lobby entrance, service and the restaurants, this hotel does an amazing job. Location is wonderful too.
