Since I left the Navy 6 years ago and moved up to Kingscliff, Salt bar has become my local only being a 7 minute walk from home. The service, staff, food and ambience of Salt is truly wonderful. My family and I have always been treated with respect and friendliness. I would and already have recommended Salt to my family and friends who visit. Coming from 50 years the Navy and moving into the area, I have been made welcome and also have been respected for my service. I come for a drink every Anzac Day. It is nice to be recognised for service to my country. A special thank you to Shaz, Blake, Megan and more of the staff for their wonderful hospitality.

We had lunch here on Saturday (25/7/26) and honestly couldn't fault a single thing. The food was absolutely delicious! The steak was cooked to perfection. One of the best I've had in a long time. Everything we ordered was fresh, full of flavour and beautifully presented. The service was friendly, welcoming and attentive and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. It's so nice to find a place where every dish is a winner. We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend Salt Bar & Bistro to anyone looking for a fantastic meal in Kingscliff!

We had a private function at Salt Bar and Charlene and the team could not have been any more accomodating to our needs. Everything was perfect. The food was delicious, with plenty of it! The atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly and efficient. We were quite a late start so we appreciated the flexibility Charlene and the team offered us. Communication leading into our event, and on the night, was clear and timely. Would highly reccomend Salt Bar for a function!

We came here as a family of 3 for lunch after a morning at the beach. Felt spacious and welcoming and clean. They have free kids activities on a Sunday on the deck from 12 pm which my 7 year old absolutely loved. Meals tasted fantastic and the service was great. Nothing negative to say - will be going again next time we are in the area.

My now husband and I had our reception at Salt Bar and it was everything we could've hoped for at an affordable price. Charlene and her team looked after us very well with heaps of communication, no surprise extra fees and her warm friendly nature (she was even able to get us a few bottles of apple juice which is my favorite). She and her team were also very accommodating with all guests allergies and intolerances with the ability to substitute the small amount of meals. Everything on the night ran smoothly and we couldn't of asked for anything better 😊. Definitely recommend to anyone thinking about their wedding
