Reviews for Sydney Boulevard Hotel

Stayed here recently and whilst the location is excellent as I was having surgery at East Sydney private which was literally across the road there were some issues with parking. Very small and limited spaces considering the size of the hotel. Very expensive nightly and had to pay an extra $50 to park underneath. The rooms were spacious but they didn't even provide a tea towel or a saucer. The fridge was tiny and no freezer. There was no toilet brush or exhaust fan in the bathroom. No microwave to heat meals and no restaurant to eat in. I think overall for the cost it lacked small personal attention to detail. No ceiling fan and only one air-conditioning duct which was not cool at all. Besides being in an excellent location to the private hospital I don't think we would stay here again. My husband said I make better breakfasts than their buffet breakfast as everything was dried out.

Great experience and will definitely be back. We booked directly on their website and buffet breakfast was included. The stay was great value for money. Quiet room and comfortable bed. Great location between Hyde Park and Kings Cross. Woolworths next door was helpful. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Very bad experience. - the hotel pretends to be 4 stars, but the infrastructure and maintenance level is like a low 3 / high 2 stars. - location is a little off. - the fitness center is useless (no free weights, no bench). - management is dishonest; they charged me an additional amount (around 30% extra of what I originally paid), blaming Priceline for the reservation details they sent to the hotel (Priceline blames them, but at the end, it was me paying twice for the same). In summary, quality is bad and price ends being hire than they advertise, so avoid staying there.

Sydney Boulevard Hotel is in a great location—just outside the CBD, so it’s quieter but still central, with bus stops right opposite. I highly recommend the Harbour View room as the view is fantastic. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out easy. We were lucky enough there was a room available for early check in. As an added bonus, the room had a bath tub with a jacuzzi and free bath salts, perfect for relaxing after long walks. The hotel is overdue for some renovations, but overall it was worth the higher price. I’d definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at the Boulevard several times, the first time being in 1989. It was relatively new then, but it has been very well maintained. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with the same wonderful view of the city, Woolloomooloo, the Domain, St Marys Cathedral, the Opera House and the bridge.
