Had a great night at the IVY recently catching Medusa’s performance, and overall it was a really fun experience! The atmosphere was electric, the crowd was lively, and the music kept everyone moving well into the night. Medusa absolutely delivered—amazing energy on stage and a set that had the whole place vibing. Definitely a highlight and worth seeing live if you get the chance. The venue itself is stylish and well-known for a reason. It’s got that sleek, high-end feel with plenty of space to dance, mingle, or just enjoy the show. The lighting and sound setup were both on point, and it all came together for a pretty epic night. That said, there were a couple of downsides that held it back from being a full 5-star experience. First, the drinks were definitely on the pricey side—a bit steep even for a city venue, so just something to keep in mind if you’re planning a big night out. Second, it was really hot inside, especially as the night went on and the crowd thickened. It could’ve used a bit more airflow or cooling to keep things comfortable on the dance floor. Despite that, it was still a great night overall. If you’re up for some high-energy music, a trendy crowd, and the occasional big-name DJ or act like Medusa, the IVY is a solid pick. Just come prepared for the prices and maybe dress light—you’re going to dance and you will get warm! 4/5 – Would definitely go again, especially for a big-name set, but hoping for cooler air and slightly more budget-friendly drinks next time.

Went to ivy block party on Sunday 16th. Great stages, pool, lighting and sounds systems. However was super frustrating that there was no communication regarding stage capacities towards the end of the night. Paid $100 to see particular artists and we were told we weren’t allowed in with 0 notice or any heads up plus rude security when we expressed our confusion. Also drinks are insanely expensive, pre warning!

Terrible and horrible customer service and attitude from this bar maid at the bar upstairs. Typical eye sore Ranga with no common sense by using a glass to pick up the ice instead of using an ice shovel. That's a big failed in RSA. She needs to go or Ivy will breach their duty of serving alcohol to their patrons under her. She is a big liability to Ivy.

The music was dull, but at least there was plenty of space to dance. Prices were reasonable, and the presence of attentive security was a plus.
