Reviews for Rydges Cronulla

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Rydges Hotel in Cronulla, Australia, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The location alone sets it apart, offering the best of Cronulla right at our doorstep. However, what truly sets this hotel apart is its exceptional service. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a team of charming, friendly, and incredibly helpful staff members. Thomas, the manager, sets the standard for going above and beyond, and every receptionist at the front desk follows suit. Even the maintenance team made a point to greet guests and ensure our happiness. The baristas and all the staff in the dining and bar area were equally as delightful, always going out of their way to ensure that our stay was nothing short of perfect. Their genuine concern for guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction. During our 13-day stay with a group occupying multiple rooms, we all felt like we were leaving behind not just a hotel, but a home and family. The warmth and hospitality extended by the Rydges Cronulla team made our time there truly memorable. We wholeheartedly recommend Rydges Cronulla to anyone, for any length of stay. To the dedicated team at Rydges Cronulla, we want to express our sincere gratitude. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and they are greatly appreciated by all your guests. Keep up the fantastic work!

Our room, although relatively large had very spartan furniture: no lounge chair and two uncomfortable wicker style arm chairs. Additionally there was nowhere to place your bag other than the floor and the cupboard had only 5 coathangers. The room was not up to the standard I would expect of a hotel charging inner city rates although the bed was quite comfortable. The staff were friendly and courteous. Breakfast was at a good standard in a room with excellent views of the beach, however given this is the only beach view that was available other than from the street I do not believe that this place offers value for money.

Just ok. Breakfast was great, you have to pay for expresso coffee. Rooms are tired, lighting is poor, smoke detector over the bed had a strobe like every few seconds, wife mentioned this at reception and they said that’s what it does! Checking in was a debacle as their system had been changed the poor young guy was flustered and had to check us in without a credit card, after 20 minutes we just wanted to get into the room. Room was not clean, check out the dust on the blinds that’s been there for months. Poor effort.

I stayed here for a night as a fun little getaway, and it was really nice. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable and giant. The only downsides to the room would be the limited alternatives with the TV. The buffet breakfast had a decent spread with your expected options. Cronulla, on the other hand, is a trashy place with overpriced food and a nice beach.

I chose this hotel for an overnight stay whilst celebrating a milestone birthday with my wife at Sealevel restaurant just down the hill on Cronulla beach. Brilliant reception service from Lauren and the view from our tenth floor balcony was spectacular. As a PGR member I tend to gravitate towards Rydges hotels and was fortunate enough to find this site perfectly located for our needs. Good clean facility with all of the facilities we needed. Just a couple of minor cosmetic maintenance tasks would have made the room perfect.
