My recent visit to The Star Casino & Hotel was an absolute delight. From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere was simply fantastic. There's a palpable sense of excitement and energy that permeates the entire venue, making it an ideal destination for a night out, especially on the weekends. The service was impeccable. The staff were attentive and friendly, always on hand to assist without being intrusive. While the casino's primary goal is, of course, to generate revenue, it's done in a way that doesn't detract from the overall enjoyment. It's a place where you feel like you're part of a grand spectacle, a feeling of entertainment that's always going around. Beyond the gaming floor, the hotel offers stunning views and a central location in the city, which makes it incredibly convenient. The combination of a vibrant casino, top-notch service, and a prime location makes The Star a truly memorable experience. Whether you're there to try your luck at the tables or simply soak in the lively atmosphere, The Star Casino & Hotel delivers a great time. I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for a night of entertainment and fun.

The Star hotel in Sydney is certainly luxurious, but overall the experience didn’t feel as comfortable as it should for a property of this standard. The rooms are kept very clean, with daily housekeeping, and it’s nice to have a fridge in the room, although there is no minibar. There are lots of TV channels available, but most of them require an extra payment, which feels disappointing for a high-end hotel. Service is polite but comes across as very transactional. Some staff seem emotionless, offering little more than the basics. It doesn’t feel warm or welcoming, which makes a big difference in a luxury setting. On top of that, the building is full of security cameras. I understand the reasoning, given that there’s a casino inside, but it makes the atmosphere less relaxing and more uncomfortable. The room itself has some quirks too. At night it can get very cold, and unless you’re already familiar with the air-conditioning system, it takes some effort to adjust it properly. Another frustration was when I accidentally paid for an extra day of breakfast and asked for a refund. I was simply told it couldn’t be processed, which is not what you’d expect from a hotel at this level. One positive worth mentioning is that becoming a member does give you at least 10% off most purchases in the hotel, which is a good benefit if you plan to stay or dine here often. Overall, while The Star looks impressive on the surface, the lack of warmth in service, comfort issues, and rigid policies leave much to be desired. I would stay here again only if I had to, not because I want to.

Review for theatre only. Excellent views. Productions: Hamilton- really good. Sister Act. - Disappointing. Great vocals. Bad story and not so good songs. Back To The Future Musical: Fantastic. Go and see it. Do not gamble.

Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience at the front entrance by an elderly woman with an accent. I was told I was showing “serious signs of intoxication” simply because I lifted my dress slightly to adjust it around my chest. The woman at the door then claimed there was a “serious dress code,” even though our small group was dressed in full formal attire - suits, heels, and long elegant dresses, having just come from a wedding nearby at Doltone House. I hadn’t been drinking throughout the evening, which I mentioned upon entry, yet she laughed, accused me of “reeking of alcohol,” and told me to go inside and drink water because I was “too intoxicated.” My outfit was in no way revealing - it was extremely elegant. I was merely adjusting the chest area of my dress to make sure I was properly covered, which tends to happen when you’re on the bigger side. and somehow that was interpreted as a “sign of intoxication.” Completely absurd and humiliating. As someone with a naturally larger chest, I felt unfairly singled out and judged by this woman, who made unnecessary and baseless assumptions over nothing? To top it off, I had literally just come from a wedding - of course I might smell faintly of alcohol, as anyone attending such an event might - yet that was used against me. My behavior was entirely appropriate, I’m a very quiet woman, I don’t drink or go out often. Nothing about me was called into question except for the fact I lifted my dress to adjust it. Our group was extremely polite, quiet, well dressed, and simply trying to enjoy our night, and we were treated in a condescending, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary way. It doesn’t hurt to be nice

I went to the star on a saturday with my partner and friends. We were all asked our age and than sent back outside to wait. After 10 minutes of waiting outside myself and the other girls in my group were told to go to the line for under 25. We than reached an older staff member at the entrance to both lines. He asked our age and gave us an uncomfortable feeling as he was being flirty with us. He than sent us to the front of the line for 25 and over. We needed two forms of id which is not stated online. We than waited in the help line for an hour waiting to complete our membership. I completed my club membership online prior to coming, it stated i only needed to confirm my identity by showing my id at the venue, although the completion process took over 20 minutes. My partner and his male friends were waiting in the line for over an hour as they were only letting women in. They came up stairs and signed up to become members. They than had to go back downstairs to put money on their card, when they tried to come back upstairs they were told they have to line up again as he couldn’t prove he had already been in the line and showed id, despite having his new membership card. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional to him and than made him leave the venue. Would not recommend at all, wasn’t a welcoming environment from the staff at all.
