The location of the hotel is incredibly convenient and close to the main attractions, making it a great base for exploring the area. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The Executive Lounge was a nice perk, offering a good selection of food. While it was enjoyable, it didn’t quite stand out as exceptional. However, the hotel entry and elevators could be quite busy at times, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the rooms were quite outdated. As an Elite Titanium member, I must say this was one of the most basic Marriott rooms and bathrooms I’ve experienced. The accommodations are in urgent need of an upgrade to meet the standards expected from the brand.

Great location. Room pretty ordinary for five stars hotel. The fridge is empty. No drink or snacks are available in the room. Almost need to be on phone for everything from toiletries such as tissue, toothbrush and … The fridge leaked, carpet was completely wet. I formed the reception, they said someone will be at room to assess. After 25 minutes called again, informed them I am about to take a nap. After two minutes they rang and informed we need to change the room. Asked them for an hour so I could pack and rest after busy day. They said we can hold two rooms for you, unprofessional. Disappointing experience after staying in the hotel.

The hotel is in a great location. It was easy access and short 15-25 minute walks to the Opera House, bridge, aquarium, Queen Victoria Building and neighboring restaurants/shopping. What I’m very disappointed about is that we left a piece of unique and valuable art in the room and because we checked out early we thought we could recover it. We called an hour after leaving the hotel hoping someone would go to the room to recover it since house keeping had not cleaned the room yet. Called several times the same day explaining it was in a bag asking for someone to check since no one called back or communicated with us even though they said they would get back with us within an hour or so. The last call we made was the morning after and they stated it was not reported by house keeping. Very sad that staff did not send someone right away to the room prior to cleaning to check and get the art that was in a bag and as a result it was likely confused with trash and thrown away. Even though we left it behind, this loss could have been avoided had they checked the room as soon as we called (or within a reasonable time) and now a meaningful art is lost on a very memorable trip.

Disappointing stay. As other reviewers mentioned, the hotel claims to be 5 star but it's a 3 star at best. Room is dated, with bathroom needing a serious clean with moulds on tiles and grouts. Swimming pool also needs serious cleaning with piles of dirts built up on the floor. Floor layout is terrible and does not seem to make good use of space. There are 5-6 elevators yet only 1-2 seem to be operational. Finally breakfast room is very small. It doesn't even have the capacity to accommodate half the guests in the hotel so you will need to queue when it's at full capacity. There is no clear wait time as there is no time limit once you're at your table. The morning we went there was a bit of backlog and only after asking about the wait time numerous times only we were told that they will see if a new room can be opened up (why was this not done ahead of time?). It feels very chaotic for a what's meant to be a 5 star hotel in the middle of CBD. It does not live to the standard that Marriott or 5 star hotels hold elsewhere and it definitely wasn't worth the $600 we spent for the night.

This hotel claims to be a 5 star it is definitely not and more 3 star. Location is very good, walking distance to Circular quay and harbour bridge/opera house. In regards to the hotel. Staff are very polite and welcoming. The room is very old and out dated. Bathroom definitely needs to be upgraded and is not worth the price compared to other 5star competitive hotels.
