Family friendly hotel, great pool facilities and knowledgeable staff. Shout out to Jeremy who greeted us every evening, very helpful and hospitable. Staff have been a great asset to the hotel.

The resort was well located with beautiful gardens. Service was great and amenities were good. The only downside would be the outdated room. If they updated with a smart TV and a better fridge (one that has a freezer that works) it would have notched up another star. Over all though very happy with our stay

Great location if you don’t want or need to be right in the centre of town. Room & resort was clean, but the only downfall was the apartments aren’t soundproof like some hotel rooms are, so afternoon naps are interrupted by a lot of noise. Breakfast was practical & convenient, but not fancy. Enjoyed it here, especially the swim up bar.

After a recent stay at The Oaks Port Douglas, I cannot recommend this resort to anyone expecting good customer service, good hygiene, and an overall good time. We (a family) booked a two-bedroom/two-bathroom apartment, which we received, but it did not include breakfast or housekeeping, as we knew. On arrival, we were told they would include a mid-stay service—amazing. On that day, housekeeping came in, emptied bins, replenished coffee, and took the bath towels. However, they did not sweep the floor, make the beds (which were tidied before we left for the day), or replace the bath towels. We went down to reception to express our dissatisfaction, only to be told that (from mid-January) it is the off-season, so there is minimal staff and a towel shortage. Three times I had to ask for bath towels that day, only to be given two for three of us. Upside to the resort: Removed from the main street but a shuttle is available for a fee. Great parking. Great price point! Downside: The pool was not refreshing and more like bathwater. The pool bar has limited hours and no poolside service, so glasses remained on tables and poolside all day. Pool towels are extremely rare; wash and reuse yours. Pre-book breakfast; otherwise, you will be charged $5 extra per person for walk-ins. The dinner restaurant menu is very minimal unless you like pizza. The bed in the master bedroom was the oldest, squeakiest, and softest I have ever experienced. The overhead kitchen cabinet posed a safety risk as it was loose and about to fall off the wall. No broom and only a dustpan which was stored in the kitchen dish rack!

I booked the room with bathtub. When I arrived the room, there is only a shower inside. The reception said they are fully booking and couldn’t do anything for me. Need to wait for the manager contact me around three days after. I waited for four days, didn’t receive any phone or email. The room is on the ground floor. There are two French windows. The French windows didn’t lock and the curtain was closed. The kings size mattress was broken and combine with two single. You would roll to middle side when you sleep on it. Doesn’t matter you lie on right or left side. The pillows are very thick and hard. The signal is very bad as well. Better to check everything when you arrive in the room. Or you might have the better option.
