We attended the New Year’s eve event. Vegas theme complete with decorations and two gaming tables (for fun) . It wasn’t cheap at over $300 each by the time you add fees. But it was all inclusive ( beer and wine ) And the decorations , the service the food and entertainment were all amazing. You could see the fireworks from the little balcony. It was definitely worth the money.. there were amazing decorations everywhere and there were showgirls to have photos with. It was just a great night. Highly recommend, would do it again. I’ve rated the rooms as the function rooms not as the hotel rooms.

My stay at Stamford hotel was nothing short of exceptional. This hotel truly offers the perfect location, right in the heart of the city, making it incredibly convenient to explore nearby attractions, shopping areas, and restaurants. Everything was easily accessible, which made our stay both comfortable and enjoyable. The staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and always happy to help with even the smallest requests. The room was spotless, classic designed, and extremely comfortable, with all amenities thoughtfully provided. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was celebrating New Year’s Eve at the hotel. Watching the stunning fireworks light up the city skyline from story bridge was a magical and unforgettable experience. It was the perfect way to welcome the New Year. With its prime location, wonderful amenities, and memorable moments, this hotel exceeded all expectations. Highly recommended, and I would gladly stay here again.

Location is perfect. The river views are stunning and the CBD is on the doorstep. The staff are excellent - really provided a first class customer service experience throughout our stay. We are definitely going to stay here next time we visit Brisbane. Breakfast buffet was pretty standard fare - quite acceptable though and no complaints.

For the price, the stay didn’t scream 5 stars. The rooms were clean and quite comfortable, but a lot of the furniture is old and worn. The rooms are a bit smelly (I wish the windows could be opened) and the amenities are cheap quality. The toilet paper was barely 2 ply and scratchy. The towels were rough and did not feel luxurious at all. The TV should have inbuilt smart features such as Netflix and YouTube; connecting via your phone is clunky and tedious. I also would’ve appreciated some variety in the pillows; they were really flat and many people prefer a firmer pillow that offers proper neck support. In many ways, it does feel like the hotel are cutting costs and buying cheaper products. I don’t think you should be charging the prices you do per night, claiming to be 5 stars, then only providing cheap 2 ply toilet paper. I would also recommend having smaller lighting options for the bathroom; a small downlighting option, like a lamp, would be ideal so people who are sensitive to light can have a nicer, more relaxing (and ideally dimmable) lighting option for the bathroom. Overall, a nice stay, but certainly not 5 stars.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to make our stay within this hotel due to a car accident on the day/night. But because we didn't call to cancel the reservation (even though it was made late on the day) they charged us over $300 for a no show. No compassion, no nothing. Rules are rules apparently, so be aware! * Such a special time away we saved for - to see a concert & to stay somewhere we don't normally stay, to having a very expensive lesson learnt!
