We recently had the pleasure of having lunch @ Dunwoody's. Everything from the time we walked in was perfect. The bartender greeted us, sat us at a table, bought us some menus and drinks. Kids had a play on the beautiful playground outside. The food was absolutely perfect and delicious! Would definitely eat here again.

We had our friends visit recently and the selling point was that cute playground. Thought it was cool to have that amenity. It was a busy night so I already set my expectations that things will take a while. The porter took a second tru as the cook was welldone and we asked med rare. The lamb was the highlight of the night.

We come here regularly because the service and atmosphere are great. The food is generally good, but it can be a bit inconsistent. For example, today my partner ordered a rare steak, but it was served medium to well-done. Although I offered to bring it up with the staff (since he avoids confrontation), he chose to eat it as it was. Considering the price of the steaks, we expect them to be cooked as requested — especially since preparing a rare steak isn’t particularly difficult. On the other hand, my parmy was delicious, with a flavorful side salad.

Great meals but pricey but nice to treat yourself. I had the Atherton Parma and yum it was. Hubby got the steak and he said it was nice flavour but bit chewy and over cooked but was still great.

Samuel at front of house was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. With three young kids in tow, that kind of service means the world. It's the little things—genuine kindness, patience, and care—that turn a good experience into a great one. Dunwoody’s really impressed us. The food was amazing, the venue was perfect for families, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We’ll be telling all our friends and any visitors to Cairns to stop by. If I could give 6 stars, I would!
