Stayed 3 nights over Gather Round. Great location with access to shops, cafes, buses and train. Property is a little dated, but everyone is so friendly and accommodating. Room had everything we needed, bonus to have microwave with crockery, cutlery. Enjoyed a good meal. Loved the sirloin, perfect.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here and it was the best day/night of our lives! The function rooms were decorated beautifully, the staff were friendly and the Events Manager, Richard, was amazing. His creativity, attention to detail, personality and everything he did to help us was perfect and made for an incredible experience overall! The Mawson Lakes Hotel exceeded our expectations and our guests can't stop talking about how much they loved our wedding! Thank you Richard and the Mawson Lakes Hotel for making our special day just perfect!

I am a happy guest. Rooms vs price is good. The hotel has all the shops in a 2min walk away. Reception fast acting and helpfull and if you want you can have breakfast/dinner downstairs. Despite the bar/pokies downstairs I never heard a single noise. I stayed here for work for five nights.

I chose to stay here because it rated well. In not too sure why this is. We had the units, no kitchens - so be warned on that - but barely any other facilities that you might expect. The drier wasn't vented, so lint went everywhere - that is when we could keep it running. So we got our water from the sink next to the washing machine, washed the cups in the hand basin, and boiled water in a jug on the fridge. That said, the stay was nice, building and car parking was secure. But I don't think it was quite worth what we had paid.

Buffet breakfast Totally not worth the money. The food was soggy, and the setup was a mess. The only egg option was scrambled—no fried or poached eggs available. The only sauce offered was tomato, which is pretty disappointing for a buffet. The fruit selection was poor and looked far from fresh, and there weren’t many food options overall. You’d expect at least some pancakes or variety, but nope. Drinks weren’t included either—you had to pay extra for anything other than water, and the free coffee tasted awful. Honestly, it felt like a cheap setup for a premium price. Wouldn’t recommend.
