Reviews for InterContinental Adelaide

Our 2nd stay last night after attending a wedding in Hindmarsh but first time using valet parking due to the rainy weather. Loved this little bit of 'luxury' whilst travelling to and from the wedding reception in inclement weather. Staff are all very professional, friendly and helpful. Rooms may be dated BUT always immaculately clean including bathroom facilities. Bed very comfortable and rooms are quiet (huge plus!). Buffet breakfast was outstanding - range and quality of the food and coffee/chai top notch. Staff also very present and efficient. Will be back again in October for a concert stay. Love this hotel. 🤗

We stayed over for a night and it was a remarkable experience overall. Service stood out the most as each individual we interacted were very kind and helpful. We had a delightful dinner at Atrium bar where the staff greeted us very well and food was scrumptious. Breakfast next morning had a wide variety of hot and cold meals with fresh juice option. Flori and her team went above and beyond to meet our expectations with great service. Don’t miss out on swimming pool as it was warm and very clean. Overall stay was excellent, as everything is in walking distance.

I travel a lot for work, and I have quite high expectations for hotels. I am pleased to report that the InterContinental absolutely exceeded them. The room (1914) was well-appointed, spacious and very well maintained. But the real stand-out was the service; the staff here are genuinely enthusiastic about providing you with the best experience they can, and are clearly committed to helping out with whatever you need. They also have a real concierge service! Most hotels now have a concierge desk, but they are functionally just reception - these guys have concierges that really know the city (where to eat, what to visit, and the ability to give you directions). All in all, it was a fantastic experience. I will definitely be staying here again when I inevitably return to Adelaide in the future. Edit to add: I see a few other reviews calling the decor "out-dated". It is certainly an older style, but that was completely part of the charm and 'old world' appeal for me. I would encourage anyone considering staying to not be put-off by references to dated or old style furniture, layout or decor; during my stay, at least, everything was perfectly functional and met my needs completely.

Another wonderful stay at the intercontinental. Lovely staff, such clean and quiet room, food amazing and the scent as you walk in the lobby is just delightful. Will be coming back again soon to my home away from home.

We stayed here for 2 nights to visit family, hotel is quite old and tired, needs painting and refurbishment however in saying this the rooms are a great size with dated but clean bathroom. Bed was super comfortable my only suggestion would be to have plug in room fresheners in the rooms as ours was quite musky on arrival. Service from staff in the restaurant and drinks area was exceptional. Breakfast was definitely high on the list of excelling with quality of food and selection with staff being very pleasant and accommodating. Walking distance to all of the CBD including the Arena and river. Tram stop just out the front to get easy access to Glenelg.
