Edit to respond to reply: leaving [brand] blank showing you have a copy/paste template you use instead of a personal reply is disappointing. Room was perfect, dinner and dessert were great. Service wasn't fantastic. Waited two hours past check-in time as the room wasn't ready, after confusion around payment with the room paid for twice and some rather rude service from one staff member. The complimentary drink was appreciated but didn't quite make up for the valuable rest and recharge time I missed out on after a flight and long drive, and I then had to go directly to the conference I was attending. The manager was pleasant to deal with while the other staff member was quite rude, and initially rather unsympathetic to our situation. This was echoed by many other visitors in similar situations that day. Despite being told when I checked in that breakfast was included, I was told when I arrived to eat that wasn't the case and my name wasn't on the list. After some discussions eventually I was able to have breakfast, which included cold, rubbery sausages, as well as cold mushrooms and bacon. Things happen that we can't control and that's understandable but had the response been entirely apologetic, sympathetic and to ensure comfort and appropriate compensation for those affected, it would be easy to forget all about it. But the attitude from the one particular staff member made that difficult.

Had a fabulous time here in 2 x 2 bedroom suites. Rooms were spotless, beds comfy, great location, facilities, and extremely good staff across the board. Special mention to Matthew (Restaurant Manager), wonderful engaging and attentive, looked after us (6 women on holiday), brilliantly - so good at his job. Kellie was gold, so competent, full of good humour and could answer any question we asked. Then the restaurant - first night Chef Tom - that man can cook a blue steak like none other. All the food was so far above our expectation we all decided to eat there each night. All the staff from Reception to the lovely ladies who cleaned our room were so friendly and nothing was ever any trouble. This would have to be one of my best hotel experiences I have had. The staff are simply extraordinary and collectively gave us all a perfect stay.

Our dining experience at The Cellar Kitchen at Novotel Barossa Valley was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the breathtaking views of the Barossa landscape. The culinary journey was a true celebration of local flavors, artfully prepared with an exquisite balance of taste and presentation. Each dish told a story of the region, with fresh, seasonal ingredients that were thoughtfully selected and expertly crafted. A special mention must go to Sarah (the girl with the purple and black hair :) ), our waitress for the evening. Her attentiveness and genuine warmth added a personal touch to our experience, making us feel truly cared for. She was knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings, guiding us with recommendations that elevated our meal to another level. Sarah's professionalism and charm are a testament to the exceptional service at The Cellar Kitchen. We left with full hearts and satisfied palates, already looking forward to our next visit. The Cellar Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone seeking a dining experience that captures the essence of Barossa Valley’s culinary excellence.

We arrived for our wedding night, chose Novatel with the understanding that it's one of the best! We had no mini bar, water bottles were half empty in the fridge. When I rang for room service my dietary requirements couldn't be accommodated. We were expecting more than a spa and bed for $620 / night. The room was satisfactory until I looked under the bed to find that it hadn't been vacuumed. On a positive note, it was lovely to have a balcony with a pleasant view.

The location is amazing, close to so well-known wineries along with some great not so well known. Facilities are fantastic, great gym, tennis court, pool and just across from the golf course. I'm not one to lie by the pool but who could resist with the great views across the valley. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic, great food and again those views!
