Check in was seamless, and the front desk staff member was most helpful and friendly. A common theme when I had reason to seek assistance from the front desk. The room was spacious and well appointed. Ideal location for R Adelaide Hospital and various university off main campus sites. Dinner was very good with an adequate selection of food and beverages, served by most efficient group of young Columbian women. A good range or selection for breakfast buffet as well. Check out was as seamless as check in.

Had a wonderful stay at the Adelaide Rockford. While the room was a little dated, it was comfortable and suitable for a work stay. The chair provided for the desk didn't fit under the table, so made it a little uncomfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful with directions and things to do

I have mixed feelings about my stay. Firstly I’d like to say the reception staff I dealt with each day were nothing short of great. Friendly smiles, not robotic and had a problem solving - customer focused attitude. Really appreciated their service and help. The location - well it depends what you are after, it’s just on the edge of the bar and club scene, but it’s at the quiet end. I usually stay at the other end of Rundle mall which felt a bit safer to walk around. When I came home from a wedding at 11:30pm there was a girl passed out on the front steps. Wasn’t nice. The first room I was put in was huge, nice balcony, but…. It was very dated. And dirty. The edges of fridge, hand prints and body prints on the windows and doors, stray hairs on the bedding and it smelt of mould from the corner spa I think that was exposed to the room. They moved me - and were great about it - but the second bedroom also had much of the same, dirty cutlery, the sink was blocked in bathroom, the pillow case was ripped and had a hole in it, hairs in bed, hand prints all over mirrors so it just gave me the ick & I put towels down to sleep on the bed. Which was really lumpy. The pool - beautiful, had it to myself a lot of the time. There was only 1 sun lounge, which wasn’t great but 2 more were on order , it doesn’t look like the pics as there’s a heap of seats and tables but no where to lounge in the sun which was what ppl were looking for. I’m an Accor member and would have expected a bit more pride in the presentation of rooms.

Terrible experience with the staff upon check out 😡 After having said we could check out lately, this dark haired lady at the reception on this 21 November 2025 charged my work colleague without previous warning ! Such behaviour is properly unacceptable and so rude. I’has checked and the lady servicing rooms was busy with at least 2 other rooms, so there was no reason to charge us 😱 I am travelling over 100 days per year since years I don’t recall such bad behaviour. Small boss using her little power, shameful and pitiful attitude, the little amount charged will never match the disastrous image of Rockford brand this lady is leaving. Plus we had paid an incredible high price for the night, well over the listed price today, due to our inviting party having booked in advance. Need to mention my room was stuck in between 2 rooms with reconstruction works 😰 I’ll make sure to let them know NOT to book Rockford hotels ANY LONGER.

We booked a single night stay at Rockford Adelaide for a date night. Check in was easy & staff were friendly. We parked our car in their basement carpark. It was a bit of a tight squeeze to enter the carpark through the lane way but the parking spaces inside were quite roomy. We made our way up to our room on the third floor. We had booked a room with a spa & balcony. The room was a decent size & clean, but appeared a little old/in need of an upgrade in some areas. First thing we noticed was the corner spa at the rear of the room. It’s not in the bathroom or sectioned off, so no privacy. The spa was clean & working. The separate bathroom was clean, with a large shower & vanity/sink/mirror. There were pump bottles of shampoo etc in the shower and hand soap & lotion near the sink. The sink did have a drainage issue as the built in plug wouldn’t stay up on its own. We had to manually lift it to let the water drain. There were plenty of towels & wash cloths, although the towels are tiny so if you’re on the larger side, maybe bring your own. The toilet also appeared quite small & my partner being big & tall was a little concerned it was going to break off the wall if he sat on it.lol but it was fine. The king size bed was clean, comfortable & soft. The TV was average size & worked well, but it’s a shame that it wasn’t a smart TV. No Netflix for us, just regular free to air. The bar fridge was very small & was missing the rails for the door shelves so only the main shelving could be used. The small freezer section did not freeze anything we put in there in the 20 hours. There was a few little milk portions & 2 bottles of water that we didn’t touch as we weren’t sure if they were complimentary or not. The room had a kettle, tea/coffee/sugar, cups & glasses. An iron & ironing board, hair dryer. There were 2 robes (that did not fit us) and two pairs of slippers (that also didn’t fit my partner) that we didn’t use. The real let down for us was that we paid extra for a balcony so we didn’t have to go downstairs to have a cigarette onky to find out once in the room that smoking even on the balcony was not permitted. It was also extremely narrow. Not even a chair would fit so it’s standing room only. Kinda pointless really. Overall our stay was fine. It was clean & tidy & close to everything in the city but honestly, there are better options with the same or better amenities for less money per night within a 2 minute walk, such as the Oaks hotels on north terrace. We enjoyed our evening but don’t think it was worth almost $400 per night & we will be staying elsewhere next time we decide to have a date night in town.
