Very happy with our wedding and 2 nights stay in the spa room. Room was spacious and the bathroom was modern, with 2 person shower and a spa bath. The staff are amazing and went above and beyond in their duties. They really helped to make our wedding a success. Claire was the coordinator and planner behind all the organising of the wedding, and she really does her job well. Thanks again for making our night a memorable one and we will be back again

Disappointing Service and Unfair Charges I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience unfortunately leaves me no other choice. I made a phone booking with this hotel and later that same day, I called to cancel it. I was explicitly informed that the cancellation was fully processed and no further action was required from my end. Despite this clear confirmation, I was subsequently charged for the nights I was supposed to stay. After numerous attempts to resolve this through emails and phone calls, the hotel has consistently refused to acknowledge the cancellation was ever made. Their justification was that the staff member I spoke with had no recollection of our conversation. This response is unacceptable, as it places the burden of proof on the customer and effectively dismisses a staff member's error. The hotel should honor the cancellation and promptly process a refund for services that were never rendered. This level of customer service is truly poor and incredibly frustrating.

Went to a Hi-tea experience today. It was a most relaxing time. Nicola was informative and attentive without being over the top. The room was peaceful and the views just amazing. The food was delicious. Enough of a balance between savoury and sweet. Options of add ons available. For the price of $55.00 I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it. An added bonus, unexpected, was a glass of bubbly. I come home full and very relaxed. A wonderful few hours.

Having passed this hotel on many occasions, when the need to stay in the City arose I booked the Rydges to try it. The hotel unfortunately does not live up to the high standard the Rydges name sets. The building is old and tired, and whilst some efforts have been made to modernise the rooms, it still shows. The room we had provided a great view, however the old single pane windows with window seals which are visibly falling down/out let far too much road noise in. The balcony of the room offered no privacy with only a small glass divide between the next room, and no furniture to sit out on. Other aspects of the room were ok, but not to the standard you would expect. The car park is also small and with one way in/out it can be difficult negotiating this. Staff were friendly and helpful however there is only so far this can go when the basic elements of the hotel (such as having a quiet room to rest) are not met.

Fairly dated old building, rooms were clean and tidy , technology- as in TVs worked very well. Buffet breakfast was average at best. Food in the restaurant was fantastic.
