This hotel ticks my top 3 things - 1. Bed that's comfortable - tick 2. AC that's responsive - tick 3. Shower pressure is great- tick Honestly, this place exceeded my expectations by a lot. Bed is comfy, AC is extremely responsive and doesn't appear to be "locked" to a small temperature range. I'm also super impressed with the shower that has awesome pressure AND it heats quickly. Location is very convenient. On-site buffet breakfast is yet another bonus. Not keen on their "grab and go" scheme to replace room service as it would be quicker to order Uber Eats or go out and grab food from elsewhere but that's a small negative to many great positives.

The room had a great view, I was upgraded to a city view room, which is worth it. The location is amazing next to Adelaide Arcade, close to Rundle Mall and a Coles. The hotel is clean and safe. I don't think I'll stay in an Ibis again, however. It is very bare bones. It is rated at a 4 star, but I doubt it due to lack of amenities. For not much more you can stay in a hotel with better service. The staff were cold, when I asked for things from the reception the manager shouted at me "This is an Ibis!", read- not a good hotel. Breakfast is not worth what they charge. The coffee is $5 extra. The breakfast at the Pullman is $5 more, much better food and includes barrista coffee and omlette bar. There is a $150 security deposit. I was asked to pay $60 for early check-in despite being Accor Gold- leaving me wondering what is the point of Accor status.

Sadly, we were allocated the wrong rooms, not once but twice. Booked a queen room and a double-single room. 1st time given 2 queen rooms. 2nd time given a room already occupied and the other unable to open. 3rd time ok. This left a bad first impression. Very important to secure your room from the inside. The location is great! Lots of food courts and shops nearby, Rundle shopping street behind the hotel, easy walk to the free bus or tram stations, easy walk to the museums. Standard room amenities like kettle, coffee-tea-milk, all-in-1 bath-shampoo gel, water heater, toilet paper, bath towels, hangers, hair dryer, iron, fridge without freezer, room air-con unit. The downside is the cramped space, luggage has to be kept closed. The water tasted a bit funny to me. The door can be locked from the inside. Would be great if they can provide a microwave at a common area for guests. The staff was very helpful and polite. I was short-changed by the vending machine, and a staff very quickly checked and gave me the correct change, despite the late hour. For the price and location, I might book this hotel again, but security is a big minus.

Fantastic location. Upgraded to higher level with corner room allowing for fantastic city views. All staff we encountered were so professional, nice, helpful and happy to serve. Because of this outstanding customer service, we'll definitely be back. It is hard to find great service of this kind anywhere these days.

Rooms are a little small but clean and serviced daily. If you're only there to sleep it has all you need. The location is great. Handy to everything you want to see and do.
