Been coming here for almost 10 years including major milestone birthday parties. Generally this review is about the feast bistro. Last night a family member was food poisoned with stomach pains and frequent runs to the toilet over night. Fish was terrible, lasagne was dry and included sub standard meat and nil oil, dry and horrible. Lettuce and salad was limp, stale and a health hazard. The only good food was the roast with gravy and vegetables which they got right, everything else in food was terrible and not the normal standard. Ice cream tasted funny and sweet and sour pork wasn't the same. All new staff in the kitchen and obviously no experience but instead cost cutting. Don't risk a place that puts profit before quality. Best part was the friendly staff clearing the plates off the tables and not to forget mentioning the horrible plastic cups if you ever dare ask for free water. Go somewhere else, standards have dropped, new staff in kitchen doing a terrible job.

My parter Quinella and I popped in this afternoon for a refreshing beverage and a side of chips. We were delighted with the spritely bar maiden, her service was impeccable and she made one hell of a lemon lime & bitters! She went above and beyond even providing us with ample sauce for all Quinella’s needs! 10/10 would visit again!!!

Poor food variety, and what was there had clearly been there since lunch. Lettuce in the salad was like wet paper towel. Staff were extremely slow, coulent even make eye contact and just pointed in the general direction to where our table was. Had a half drunk drink on the table that was taken away when we were getting food. Save your money, or just go to maccas!!

Went to the feast buffet in the ferntree Gully Hotel for the first time. I was highly disappointed. Not very wheelchair accessible, we had to walk around to front then waited 20mins for them to open the door and barely fitted through the door. Then, there were no instructions from staff on where to go. Booked a table in the kids' section and was seated completely furthest from playground ground. Asked for water and got given warm water and plastic cups that looked like they were from the $1 gift shop. Extremely hard for people in wheelchair to move through tables, they are too close together. Then the food.. disgusting. The only nice thing was the fried rice. The meat in the roast was not cooked properly and soggy from being in the juice. Hardly any food available and food that was available was most cold and old. Staff were not friendly, and no one ever cleared the table. Playground is tiny and needs to be rules on big kids since my little toddler kept getting bold over by teenagers. It was just a horrible experience, really disappointed, and was not worth the money. I will not be returning or recommending this to anyone.

Had been a while since my last visit to the Middle, in other words Ferntree Gully Hotel. It was probably pre-Covid times. So I've now found out they run "Feast" a food buffet bistro with enough choices of food to please all tastes. Pizza, pasta, Asian, Roast, Seafood, Salads, and a good selection of both hot and cod desserts. It is not 5 star food but at $35 a head for adults, $15 per child, it is good decent quality. Particular favorites on the night I visited was the Sweet and sour pork, the butter chicken, the tiramisu and sticky date pudding. At that price a visit is definitely a good night out.
