Reviews for Pullman Melbourne Albert Park

I stayed at this hotel while attending a conference on-site, and from the moment I arrived in the evening, the staff were welcoming and attentive. Check-in was quick and stress-free. My room exceeded expectations exactly as requested, away from the elevator, with a comfortable king-size bed and a lovely view of Albert Park. Breakfast was included in my stay, and the quality was consistently good. I particularly appreciated that my preference for eggs was happily accommodated each morning over my six-day visit. Check-out was just as seamless as check-in. Throughout my stay, every interaction with staff was positive they were friendly, professional, and genuinely happy to help. The location was also a bonus, with Albert Park just outside the door, perfect for a morning stroll and some fresh air between conference sessions. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable stay that made a busy week feel easy and comfortable.

This Pullman is a 3 star, not 5 star, hotel. It was the complete opposite experience of the Pullman in Rotorua, which was fantastic on every level. That was a 5 star experience and 10/10. Most of the staff have a strange arrogant attitude - e.g. my partner asked for a bowl when we bought food from the Woolworths metro (about a 15 minute walk) and the front desk staff sighed heavily. When I was eating breakfast, staff came to clear my table when I was there and I said my partner is still using his bowl - the woman then snapped "well I'm taking this plate". I ordered coffee from Mortimer's and had the bar staff tell me some woman complained that they took away her drink when she went to the bathroom - then made faces about her. To another patron! It's bizarre. I felt like the staff didn't actually want customers. The rooms were good and the bed very comfortable but otherwise the hotel badly needs refurbishing; old carpet, water stains on ceilings, old chipped bedside tables. The gym is the most 5 star thing about the hotel. An excellent gym and very well equipped.

Warmly welcomed on check in, given an upgrade due to my ALL Status, beautiful big room, very comfortable bed. Excellent facilities. Best coffee, St. Ali, available in the foyer coffee shop! Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay.

Firstly, for the cost of the room, which was nothing special, parking should have been included. Secondly, in a room that sits around 19C to 20C, why do you have a heavy doona for the bed, this led to a incredibly bad night sleep. Too hot for the doona - too cold for a sheet. Thirdly, Mini bar prices are over the top for what can only be assumed to be stale goods. Finally, Breakfast was nothing special and the omelet was so salty and greasy it was horrible. We have stayed in much more pleasant accommodation around the country and overseas, that was better priced. Yes the place looks nice but it is nothing special, it is on a busy road with sirens going off at all hours and you don't get much of a view from the room, not even of the lake.

I booked two classic rooms at Pullman Melbourne Albert Park, advertised as 30 sq.m. vibrant and contemporary rooms featuring the innovative Pullman featherbed, 40" LCD TV, multimedia connectivity panel, i-docking station, stylish walk-in rain shower, Bigelow bathroom amenities, and next-generation comfort solutions. What we actually received was appalling. The whole room was dated, with mould in the shower, hair left in the shower and on the beds, used tissues and rubbish left in the bin, an empty tissue box, yellow tap water, and a self-closing entry door that had been disabled. Repairs to holes in the walls were poorly done, and the bathroom did not have a bath tub or rain shower. There was no connectivity panel, i-docking station, or stylish walk-in rain shower, and the tea and coffee were not replenished daily. There was also no complimentary water. When I went to reception to complain and request a room that matched what was advertised, I was told I would have to pay an extra AUD 30 per night per room—unacceptable given that the rooms provided were nothing like what had been promised on the Accor website. When we went to the pool area, the spa pool appeared extremely unhygienic, looking like someone had fouled it. We were told it was “all fine and good to use,” which is completely unacceptable. As an Accor Gold member, I expect upgraded service, clean and well-maintained facilities, and rooms that match the advertised standard. None of these expectations were met. This level of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service is far below the standards Pullman and Accor promise to their members. Overall, the experience was misleading, uncomfortable, and not worth the stay. I would not recommend staying here, and I am extremely disappointed in how our booking and membership benefits were handled.
